Boasting panoramic views of Lunenburg’s historic waterfront, Rum Runner Inn is located across the street from the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic in the centre of Old Town Lunenburg. fabulous location, amazing bed and great facilities in the room. spotless in every way … loved it.
Just 35 metres from the waterfront of Lunenburg Harbour in Nova Scotia, this turn-of-the-century bed and breakfast offers all rooms with a kitchenette. Location in the heart of Ludenberg with the history of the place was superb! Easy walking everwhere. Thanks Kevin for a great stay!
Located in the heart of Lunenburg, the Salt Shaker Deli & Inn features spacious accommodations overlooking Lunenburg Harbour. Free WiFi is available. Excellent accomodation for three adults (superior king suite) and central location on the Main Street of Lunenburg. Lovely restaurant with great food and outdoor deck. Conveniently located to walk the town.
This inn is located in Old Town Lunenburg UNESCO World Heritage site. Free Wi-Fi and a refrigerator are offered in each guest room. Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic is 150 metres away. We were looking for a place to get away for the night that had a spa tub in the room. It was a beautiful place, and the tub was perfect
Our visit to Lunenbur greatg was at the end of an 11 day tour of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We definitely saved the best for last. Would have liked to have had one more day in Lunenburg. All of the restaurants were great. we ate at the Half Shell Oysters, The South Shore Fish Shack and the Smoke Pitt BBQ. Just wanderin up and down the dock side and through town looking at all the different houses was entertaining.
Lunenburg, and our first trip to Canada was wonderful. As mentioned before, if you have seen the Sinner 4, which was set in Maine, (as was Locke and Key, the ice cream parlor is here) it was filmed here and you can easily find all the locations, most right in town. It was a beautiful walk each day past the beautiful multi-colored houses to the sweetest downtown ever. There are many great restaurants, several coffee shops, a gym, with a spa (infrared sauna prices way less than u.s.), many churches, great waterfront, museum and the people were so friendly. I would definitely recommend Lunenburg. You can also spend a day in Halifax which is about an hour away.
Lununberg is a World Unesco site and if you enjoy history and old-world charm this is the place for you. There are many activities tp participate in. There is are horse drawn carriage rides , sailing tours, museums golf ,excellent restaurants.
Lunenburg was one of my favorite cities in Nova Scotia. It was a quiet town but had a lot of options for restaurants, shops, and pubs. My husband and I walked throughout the town and even down to the Knot Pub and admired all of the cute houses along the way. If you drive across the bay, towards the golf course, you can get a photo of the cute port of Lunenburg. I would definitely visit this city again!
A very pretty town with a lot of history. The historical walking tour was very informative and our stay at the Atlantic View Hotel was very nice. We arrived earlier than anticipated and the owner was very accommodating to let us in ahead of expected check in.
Lunenburg has world heritage status for good reason. The old town is amazing...but it's made for young, able bodied people who can climb steep hills, walk some distance from whatever street parking they can find, and who can manage gorgeous heritage hotels that don't have elevators. I was exceedingly lucky to find a disabled parking spot on the street (only one of two that I spotted in the old town) that was very close to my hotel, and I was able to secure a room on the entry level because of the kindness of the staff. Good restaurants, to be sure - but make a reservation to be sure you can get in!
Beautiful historical house set in an extensive well maintained garden. This property is simply gorgeous. The common room and breakfast room are comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious with a luxurious spa bathroom. The whole place is spotless and the breakfast simply delicious. The property is relatively close to old city centre, it is possible to walk to restaurants and museums. This was one of the best B&Bs we stayed in Nova Scotia and we would definitely recommend staying there.
Room, location and view were superb this inn is on the strip closes to the wharf. Thw room was really nice fresh and clean we loved the layout, upstairs love with jacuzzi tub and below a kitchenette, the decor was also lovely and refreshing gave me beach house vibes. The restaurant below was AMAZING like no joke best food we have ever had in Nova Scotia and we are from Toronto so yeah.... if you know you know. All in all this place is going to be a regular weekend getaway for us
Lovely period hotel in the middle of historic Lunenburg, which we really liked, although many of the restaurants were closed when we were there and basically end of season
close to the water in the busy part of town the manager Allison very pleasant and assisted with my luggage to the hotel. Pleasant young woman went above and beyond.
Wonderful, beautiful room- immaculately clean. Delicious and generous breakfast. This is a must stay in Lunenburg. Phenomenal value.
