Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.

The only place I did not enjoy was the trip to Montmorency Falls as in September water flow was not so great so very underwhelming. Best city in Canada forrestaurants, attractions.Traffic on Metropolitain is out of control. When speed limit is 70km per hr, I do 80 km per hr. Others go 100+ km per hr. When speed limit is 100 km per hr, others go 130+ km per hr, No police anywhere enforcing speed limit - day or night. Metropolitain is a death trap. I witnessed accidents in both directions. We used Montreal, as a base. We are not normally city people, But I must say that our visit was lovely.. We visited the Parc Jean-Drapeau, The Botanical Gardens and also we went to Mount Royal which was just behind our accommodation. The people in the city were very helpful, and very friendly, especially when we tried to use the public transport. I expected it to be more French French but it was not, rather it just had its own character that we did not find especially appealing.
