The chalet we stayed is located right by the Saguenay Fjord, the panoramic view from our deck is breathtaking, a short trail leads the rocky shore. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two double beds, and a sofa bed in living room, our family of 4 ( including two teens) have been very comfortably staying there for 3 nights. We saw belugas popping up on the other side of river where the water is deeper, needing a binocular to see details though.

Hotel in Tadoussac
Hôtel Sous la Croix is located in Tadoussac, 5 minutes' walk from the village center and features panoramic views of St. Lawrence River. The owner/hostess was full of helpful information and even booked our whale watching tour for us since we didn't speak French! Great view of bay as well!
Nice small town with useful amenities set in a stunning part of Quebec. Anse de la Roche on the fjord is a few miles away - extremely photogenic, while it's close to the National Parc and to Tadoussac where you can watch whales. Unlike other whale trips we've taken, we actually saw a lot of whales - 4 different species.
We stayed here rather than directly in town in Tadoussac. We arrived late and left early so we did not see any of Sacre-Coeur except for the convenient grocery store next to Chez Caro. Nice and quiet though. We did the 4:30 zodiac whale watching, ate a great meal at Cafe Boheme in Tadoussac then arrived at the hotel at 10:30pm. We left the next morning at 9:00am after a quiet peaceful night.
Located in a nice but quite remote location. Overall the place was quite charming and kept clean. Rooms were quite small and to get to the upper rooms you have to climb a ladder with no banister and only a very wobbly railing on top. And no toilet on the upper floor. Not to recommend if you travel with elderly people who are not too stable on their legs - or small children for that matter. We ordered two rooms with a shared bathroom, believing that this meant between our rooms only, however it was not clear from the description that the bathroom was also shared with the other rooms in the house - four rooms in all, which created bottle necks in the morning. At a cheaper rate I would have found this acceptable as the place was kept charming and clean, but for the price I found it not to bee good value for money. Besides there we no safety instructions and no fire alarm or sprinklers visible. With a house built all in wood and no emergency exit, the feeling of safety wasn't great.
