Centrally located in the town of Sainte-Anne de Beaupré, this motel sits on the shores of the Saint Laurent River, across from Orléans Island. It features free WiFi access. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The check in and check out are easy and fast. It's a ground floor hotel that you can park your car right in front of your door. The room was cozy and clean, with a mini fridge and a coffee machine it's easy to find. The bed is very comfortable. They gave me a room far from the busy road (front), so at night it was very quiet.
Bordering the Saint-Lawrence River, Motel et Condo Chez Charley is 30 minutes’ drive from Québec and Massif de Petit-Rivière-Saint-François. The property offers motel rooms and condos. Great value clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing always quick to help, even when we had a blackout due to a breaker switch. There English was great and treated you like family will return next year for our ski trip.

Overlooking the Saint Lawrence River and near the Mont Sainte-Anne ski area, this inn in Beaupré is near a variety of attractions and activities. Auberge La Camarine faces the island of Île d'Orleans.... bed is comfortable, table in front of fire is nice.
The reason justifying a trip to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is first and foremost a visit to the shrine and basilica. I went there to do a weekend retreat and and the sanctuary does have chapels where one can retire to contemplate and meditate. But if you are looking for entertainment and activities, beware! The village feels a little rough round the edges and many properties look unkempt. That being said there’s a magnificent jetty that’s just been built where one can walk and get to admire the St. Lawrence river in all of its majesty. Not to be missed. To sum it up: Thumbs up but combined with a visit to Quebec City.
I only go to Beaupre because of the Basilica. I have been making my own personal pilgrimage to Sainte-Anne-de- Beaupre for the last 19 years. I have stayed in several motels in the area; all have been clean and reasonable! I usually prepare own meals but they have Tim Hortons, A&W, Subway, MacDonalds , pizza places, and several restaurants. The scenery is beautiful along the river! Close to Quebec City and cheaper to stay if you are on a budget! There is a nice ski hill not far away for winter!
The town is very friendly, awesome services in restaurants and pubs. A great spa right across from the motel. The basilique has a beauty of its own. Awesome place to meditate, pray and feel closer to God.
It was nice to see the cathedral done being built. Steeples were only half done when I visited the cathedral about 45 to 50 years when I was a kid. My visit was much more interesting now knowing the story of the church and various chapels in it.
For a winter ski vacation, Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre is fantastic. 10 minutes (at the most) from Mt. St. Anne, which is a terrific ski hill. About 40 minutes from Le Massif, another great ski hill. If you need a day off from skiing, it's a short distance to Quebec City.

The beds were so comfortable! We stayed in five hotels (some of them at 3x the price) over 5 days and had the best sleep at Chez Charley. It was lovely.
