Sooke is a great base of operation for exploring beaches and trails in the area. One of our favourite "trails" was the 3km long Whiffin Spit. We walked the Spit every morning, and sometimes returned late afternoon. Lots of great restaurants, shopping and services in the area. We picked this location as it was close to family in...
We picked this location as it was close to family in Langford, and also, so our son could try surfing in Jordan River and Sombrio beach. Enjoyed some of the local restaurants but the traffic congestion getting to Sooke from Victoria, Langford, and highway 1 is brutal, even outside of rush hour times.Guest review byPasieka - 10.0

We went fishing for 2 days. Rough water on 2nd day. Caught coho and crab. We were lucky to see pods of orcas while fishing. The Prestige restaurant served fabulous dinners. Make sure you get a massage. Easy to find amenities. Route 14 Sooke restaurant was awesome. Scenery in the area is beautiful.Guest review byMarleneUnited States
