This hotel is located on a secluded stretch of Okanagan Lake in Summerland, British Columbia. Every suite offers a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace and soaker tub. At first, I thought the stay was a bit expensive, but the room, the facility and the view totally worth it!
Just 10 minutes’ walk from Summerland town center, this B&B serves a daily gourmet breakfast and offers free Wi-Fi in each charming guest room. Sumac Ridge Estate Winery is 1.2 mi away. Don and Ann were lovely and helpful hosts! The Eagle's Nest suite was perfect, and they even left us a card and champagne to help us celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary - and a beautiful yellow rose from their garden :) The breakfast was a baked local peach topped with granola, followed by a delicious ham and cheese and onion omelet, and of course, lots of coffee. We hope we get the opportunity to visit this B & B again!
Featuring garden views, Quails Roost provides accommodations with a patio and a kettle, around 1969 feet from Peach Orchard Beach. This property was well kept and very beautiful! I loved the garden and how nice/accommodating the owners were. The beach was a close walk and we were right next to a bird sanctuary, would definitely come back!
Located in Summerland, close to Peach Orchard Beach, Steller Jay Hollow features accommodations with restaurant, ski equipment hire, water sports facilities, a garden and a terrace. The hosts Len and Heather could not have made us more welcome and even had music playing quietly for a welcoming ambiance. The accommodations are wonderful and our hosts were helpful in making us aware of some interesting places to check out in and around Summerland.
Summerland was a quaint little place with tons of cute antique and vintage shops, local microbrewery, bakery and wonderful coffee shops. I loved walking the downtown in the mornings before it got hot! Very friendly people live here. A lovely 2 day stop over. Thank you! Check out the Country kitchen for a wonderful breakfast!
Great town for moving around the wine corridor and activity alike. Rosedale motel was wonderful clean and located within walking distance to restaurants like Zia’s and Perch bar and grill, as well as downtown Beanery cafe for brekkie, or take a hike up Giants Head mountain for some exercise. Take short drives to some beaches, shopping in penticton or wineries, visit fruit stands for great tastes to bring home!
It is a small lakeside town between Penticton and Kelowna. People are friendly and the town is lovely. Check out Detonate Brewery, the beer is fantastic. Granny's fruit stand has great food, the pies are to die for. All the businesses we saw were well laid out for social distancing and the beach was not packed like Kelowna beaches.
If you want to enjoy sunny weather and all fun water sports, at the same time do not like too crowded and noisy places, Summerland is the perfect destination. It's close to Penticton and Peachland so it's also easy to explore other places if you want to see more. There are different beaches and parks along the lakeside, it's so easy for you to settle down at any of them and spend good time with friends/family.
Summerland is in between Penticton and Kelowna. Peachland is up the road. If you want to split your time between those places, it's a good location. But we found that because Summerland itself is not particularly nice, we just spent more time in the car going elsewhere. If we return, we would probably stay in Kelowna, which is a big town and really nice. It also has good beaches and a nice waterfront.
Electric vehicle charging facility in the underground parking is excellent. Waterfront property with lot of water sports activity. I feel summer land is the best centre spot in the Okanagan valley to get around wineries, farms and hikes. Peak season prices are bit expensive; rooms are not that large enough to accommodate four adults in a room.
Very engaging and helpful. Friendly and good sense of humour. Two seniors travelling on a weekend to Kettle Valley Train Ride.
At first, I thought the stay was a bit expensive, but the room, the facility and the view totally worth it!
There was no breakfast location was good.6
