I first visited Tofino 40 years ago. It is now more like a tourist spot and less like a fishing village. The natural beauty has not changed. The people are still very friendly. I first visited Tofino twenty years ago. It was a quaint, small town that had incredible views, top rated restaurants and excellent ways to experience the area. We couldn’t wait to revisit the area. It has grown considerably and it has become a real tourist trap. It’s now overrun with tourists, the top rated restaurants no longer exist, and it now attracts a younger population. As a senior, I was deeply disappointed that my recollection of Tofino no longer exists. Like many Canadian destinations, it caters to attracting tourists, not maintaining the main reasons why the destinations were popular in the first place. The walkability of the town is great.
The walkability of the town is great. You can park your car and enjoy the sites and sound of the area. I went with Tofino Air on a mail delivery run to one of the out lying communities. It was a great experience!Guest review byMaureenCanada

The facilities provided were great too (included breakfast, included free tea and coffee throughout the day, big communal area if you wanted to sit somewhere comfortable and watch the ocean). The room was comfortable and clean, so were the beds. And best of all, a black bear visited the beach one morning and it was awesome.
