Victoria is a beautiful city with the most pleasant weather and people. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed our whale watch experience and especially the Butchart Gardens. We also enjoyed the many restaurants and found Uber to be a great way to get around.

We loved the restaurants we found in Victoria.

We loved the restaurants we found in Victoria. We also went to the Butchart Gardens which were spectacular. Our son rented a bike and enjoyed riding around. We did a lot of walking and enjoyed the lovely views of the Empress and the Parliment Building as well as the harbor and the colorful Boat houses in the harbor.

Victoria is nice for a short trip.

Victoria is nice for a short trip. Visited by ferry , went to the Butterfly Gardens and Butchart Gardens. It was easy to get around walking and by bus. Found several good restaurants in town. I recommend staying near the harbor (Empress hotel landmark). Further away (pandora st.) there are a lot of drug addicts smoking crack in the street and it’s not safe.

Staying in James Bay was the right move for us.

Staying in James Bay was the right move for us. We wanted easy access to the water, great restaurants, and museums. Everything we did was within 5 -10 blocks of our hotel. In August they do a water taxi ballet that we surprisingly came across on our last day there. The ferry from Port Angeles was only a block away from where we stayed and the water taxis put on a show to send it off. I think they do this one a week during August.

A boutique hotel on the edge of downtown Victoria, BC. The Room was great. Lovely decor and period architecture. On the negative side, the rooms do not have individual thermostats, and it was very hot. Had to have the window open and the a/c running..in Canadian November. The room was a bit on the small side, but overall, it was great. Will be staying there again for another short stay. Close to downtown by car. Comfortable bed and pillows. Our room had a desk, microwave and mini fridge.

We had checked in for two nights and had to cancel the 2nd night just before check out time with out hesitation the manager waved all cancellation cost and did it with a smile, much apprciated by us.The location of the hotel could not be better if you want to explore Victorias downtown everything is right outside the front doors.

The complimentary breakfast was the best we've ever had! The room and quaint heritage house/hotel was in an ideal location, short stroll to downtown Victoria and so quiet. The owner was very kind, helpful and personable. The TV had Roku, Netflix etc and there was a computer in the room which was convenient. The jet tub was an added bonus and bedding was high quality and comfortable. There was a Keurig machine and mini fridge as well.
