Love the blended retro/modern vibe of the decor. The beds are super comfortable, and I appreciate the sitting area in the King rooms. The rooms are clean and airy. The staff is always very friendly and gracious. Definitely enjoy every one of my stays here.

    We only had one full day in Winnipeg, so there is much more of this welcoming city to see. We spent most of our time in the Forks area. We visited the Human Rights Museum. Very emotional, but we appreciate admitting to past mistakes and working to correct them instead of pretending they were never made. It was a beautiful July day. Other than the museum we spent the entire time outdoors. Everyone we met was friendly.

    For some of the places I had hoped to visit, one needs a car...

    For some of the places I had hoped to visit, one needs a car. I did not rent a car and the private hire cars like Uber and Lyft did not go to one of the places I had hoped to visit. There were no tours to that place available. So I suggest that if you are travelling in by plane or train, that you rent a car for the places further out from Winnipeg.

    Winnipeg is a great city to visit. It has everything. Great restaurants, great people & many, many things to see & do. We have live concerts, folklorama, red river ex, horse racing, museums, art gallery, concert hall & lots of bars also. Don’t miss a chance to visit this amazing city.

    Parking on the hotel site makes a huge difference in Winnipeg. The Humphrey is close to all major tourist spots- The Forks, Exchange District, WAG, and Museum of Human Rights. I recommend a trip across the bridge to St. Boniface district- The cathedral, Grey Nuns museum, French Cultural centre and University are wonderful to visit in all seasons.

    Your false pricing scheme of using a lower CAD of 372 CAD...

    Your false pricing scheme of using a lower CAD of 372 CAD including all taxes to entice customers into placing a reservation with Booking.com with the hotel's compliance, and then sending a confirmation email for a higher amount, in a different currency than the customer's, is illegal in Canada. Along with a full night's charge to ensnare the customer if the new false room rate is declined at the Birchwood Hotel Winnipeg Manitoba Canada front desk, both Booking.com and The Birchwood or Birchmount Winnipeg are obviously working together in tandem for illegal profiteering. Beware all potential customers!

    Winnipeg is a nice city for getting around and offers a lot of history. The zoo was awesome! Loved the butterfly exhibit at the Leaf. If you like Greek food, I highly recommend Kristina's. It was excellent.

    This is a really lovely stately building in a somewhat secluded area very close to the downtown of Winnipeg. The host was very obliging and welcoming, even coming outside to help me with some luggage as I am dealing with arthritis issues. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet overlooking the quiet street. Everything was neat, clean, and cared for. There was a good selection for breakfast and the coffee was simply excellent due to a machine that grinded coffee beans specially for each cup. I would certainly stay there again.

    My dad and I were passing through Winnipeg on a cross-Canada roadtrip and Evelyn's Manor was the perfect stay for a night. The laundry was a big bonus for us! The place appears brand new. Spotless and nicely decorated. The kitchenette was well set-up with kettle, toaster, microwave, large fridge. The complimentary soda was a nice touch. Nice hot shower. Parking in the driveway was also a bonus. The communication was very easy and instructions to get into the place were super clear.

    what didn’t you like? : Altos not that I expected to pay buffet breakfast - $16 something not really I expected. Pancake are hard (Saturday) morning. I stayed in a hotel across Canada / US that breakfast is included for staying in the hotel and much better for free for breakfast they served. Coffee and tea always available on front entrance counter 24 hours for guesses complementary.

    The staff was amazing! Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to help us with any request we had. We travel a lot and we don't often get this level of customer service in other hotels. Having the Skywalk made it so easy to get into Canada Life Centre.
