The room was perfect for a solo traveller and the view from the balcony is just heavenly (make sure to request for a room by the mountain side), check pics. Bfast was good and also had dinner here twice, their food is great and servers are attentive. Hotel is the first one on the cliffside after turning left from the train station, it isn’t a very long walk. I had an overall pleasant stay and will stay here again.

The location is fantastic.
The location is fantastic. The mountain peaks are spectacular. The guest card even includes use of the cable car. Goppenstein train station is only a 10-minute drive away. The car shuttle service is very reliable, as you would expect in Switzerland.

The hotel is located in the small, quiet hamlet of Ried.
The hotel is located in the small, quiet hamlet of Ried. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel. I ate at the hotel and found the food very good. The waiters weren't locals, but they were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating men. Even as a solo traveler, I felt welcome and comfortable.

The Lötschental valley is ideal for hiking, with wonderful scenery and a wide variety of flowers and insects. The valley has been gently renovated, and I was pleasantly surprised. The hourly bus connections through the valley were very helpful. I also appreciated the guest card. The restaurants and hotels seemed to be on the pricier side and might be difficult for families.

Unfortunately, I was traveling for work, but the rental backpacks and binoculars were an exceptional idea and service, and the food was above German standards. The short train ride after the car was a welcome change of pace. Colorful flower meadows along the stream, snow-capped mountain peaks, and the sound of the water are simply relaxing. Highly recommended and easily accessible from Basel.

A lovely hotel in an unspoilt alpine village. The staff were friendly and efficient, speaking both native German, good French and some English. The buffet breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal menu. We took the post bus to Fafleralp (10 minutes) where the walks and views are superb. The younger, fitter guests didn't need the bus!

Nice comfort rooms with a comfortable bed. Extremely friendly staff which provide with a dedicated service. You can relax and enjoy your stay. The Hotel is next to the bus stop and the guest card is providing free transportation in the Lötschental.

The Hotel is an absolute hit. It's very nicely settle in the mountains, and the staff, service, food is excellent. If you like a secluded place in the mountains you cannot go wrong here.
