We were surprised that if you want a table with a view at breakfast you must make a reservation. Even if the table is empty We had to walk back to the reservations department and reserve a table. But the breakfast was of good quality. Even though the staff at the restaurant weren't very nice, the receptionists made us come back to love this place again.

I like the amenities of this hotel. though it may be a bit pricey but definitely worth the payment you spend on. YOU TOTALLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. the staff were all accomodating they also picked us up at the train station which was a 3 mins ride haha in a rolls Royce. 😎 it was snowing during our stay they were able to accomodate us complimentary ride to and from the shops around st moritz

There is a great local bakery : Bäckerei / Konditorei...

There is a great local bakery : Bäckerei / Konditorei Piccolo (Bakery / Pastry).... we visited a couple of times to get filled rolls and drinks to take with us on trips up the mountains. The lady who works there was incredible helpful and friendly even though we had a slight language barrier with me only speaking English. Our fussy teen through the rolls were very tasty. The local buildings are full of history and a walk around the town provides interesting anecdotes to times gone by, written on several buildings. The wild flower meadows in June are beautiful and we found trips up into the mountains well worth it... they are spectacular in the summer.

This quaint old village, with a stupendously picturesque...

This quaint old village, with a stupendously picturesque medieval church rising on a wooded hillock above the nearby fields, is easy to miss as it is (a) by-passed by the main road and (b) the cheaper accommodation is on the outskirts.

The town is old and has a lot of character.

The town is old and has a lot of character. Close to St.Moritz (5 min by car or train). I don't think the train goes very often. Easy access to the ski field. Kiddy slopes with magic carpet are for ski school only. Very very disappointed about this. Even when they are not using it.

Great, central location in the Upper Engadine.

Great, central location in the Upper Engadine. A superb starting point for all kinds of excursions, whether on foot, by bike, or by train or cable car (both available in the village). The village also offers several shops and a small lake with a playground.

We enjoyed pleasant walks in and around the town. We ate at various places in Celerina and elsewhere. We would definitely not eat at the Hotel Cresta Palace again!

Everything you need for partial self-sufficiency is...

Everything you need for partial self-sufficiency is available locally (bakery, supermarkets). Good public transport connections. We didn't use our car except for getting there. Despite all the "modernization," the village has retained its charm. The Inn River restoration project is very welcome and successful.

The breakfast was very good with plenty of choices fruit juice ,cereals ,variety of different bread, cheeses, jams ,tea or coffee with charming service . The room was comfortable and quiet . Receptionist was helpful and friendly . I have skied for 47 years Celerina is part of St Moritz ski area so plenty of different areas to pick from

The location of this hotel is perfect. It's lovely to be right near the river, walking paths, traditional buildings and small downtown. It's out of the fray of St. Moritz but you're easily able to access it via the very accessible buses and trains. Super nice desk staff, lovely breakfast room.
