We ate on premises at both of the restaurants. Both are equally good. Food is Michelin worthy!!! Hats off to the chef. You never need to go anywhere else for your meals!!!
The rooms are spotless. Super clean, cozy, and breathtaking views from room balcony.
Breakfast was one of the best we have had across our tour through out Europe. Our server was lovely!
Isolde and other front desk staff were super helpful. Very friendly.
Restaurant staff was incredibly attentive. Best dining experience! We will return for sure!
Housekeeping was spot on. Very friendly lady that catered to our requests with a smile.

SwitzerlandSecluded in the top of Engelberg in the last street, Villa Hundert’s location is very romantic. When you enter the building, you immediately feel the owners’ touch and soul in everything what’s inside. What Christian and John built here is truly outstanding. It is a full experience and journey, starting with the accessories in the room, the common living room upstairs, and then the main attraction: food and wine. We had quite a few gastronomic experiences with my wife so far, but John’s cuisine paired with Christian’s wine sortiment topped everything we ever experienced. The ski bus has a stop right under Villa Hundert, so transportation to the Titlis cablecar is easy. Highly recommended for everyone, who’s looking for a unique and special experience, paired with skiing or snowboarding. This is the perfect choice for a romantic weekend. We will definitely come back!

United StatesAmazing! Arrived as they were closing and they were nice to accommodate me and even closed the kitchen a bit late so I can have dinner :*-). Shoutout out to the nice waiter and amazing chef who put together an amazing and best spinach tortellini and chicken pea soup in my life! Very professional and friendly, and super clean and upgraded facility. Located walking distance to Mount Titlis cable car. Parking available in front. Beds were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!

Beautiful town and lots of activities to do. We enjoyed in Trubsee and Furenalp. We regret of staying only for 2 days. Best to stay at least 5 days or a week. Good food everywhere. Coop is also there if you want to cook. They have good meats at the butcher. Easy to get around.

Overall I liked the place.
Overall I liked the place. Very beautiful views, especially if you go up to Titlis. Breathtaking view.
but it was pity that you cannot rent sledge down at the entrance of ski lift.
Blue ski slopes were flat... literally flat.
However, Titlis was nice, very long red slopes.
VERY DISSAPOINTING:
My husband and I went with a small kid. We could not leave him alone so we were skiing one after the other, never together. We just wanted to stop at a first stop where there was a restaurant as well. But anyway, we had to pay full day-ticket price, which was crazy.

Beautiful mountain resort. Many possibilities for hiking. The hike from Engelberg to Lake Trubsee was great and we really enjoyed it. Especially that we visited this place outside the main tourist season.

The town is lovely. It has plenty of restaurants and shops. The the Engelberg abbey is a jewel in the alps. The mountains of course are beautiful on a sunny day. Engelberg has a small train station for
Transport to Lucerne from where you can take another train to Zurich airport. In short, this ski resort is not lacking anything, not even a 5 star hotel.

There are a large number of walks, of a range of difficulty, that start from Engelberg, all of which are well signposted and maintained. When you want a rest from walking, there are cablecars to Mount Titlis, and to other lower Alps, and to Lake Trubsee. It is also 40 minutes by an hourly rail service to Lucern. A free bus shuttle connects from the station to all the cablecars. If you are travelling independently, a Swiss Half Fare Card is very good value, as it applies to trains, post buses, and most lifts.
Eating is expensive in all of Switzerland, but the best value is to eat in the hotel you are staying in.

Engelberg is a cozy mountain town, entirely surrounded by mountain range. The view of the peaks is breathtaking! Town is quite small, but it has various food and beverage outlets and shops.
There are two areas for alpine ski, which cater to the different tastes. Also, cross-country skiing is rightly accessible from the city center and there is a sport center where skiers can take advantage of changing rooms and lockers. Ice skating ring is also available, along with other interesting activities offered by the ski school.
Buses work excellently so you would not need the car to move around.

I stayed for 5 nights whilst visiting Switzerland and happy I stayed at Spannort! Check in was easy with the app, and within 10 mins of arriving one of the hosts Fucando came to greet me and took the time to answer any questions I had.
The kitchen was great for making dinner if you get back late and the local shops are closed. There’s also individual fridges you can lock to keep your food in which was a big help.
Room was a good size, comfortable bed and quiet, and only 5-10 min walk to the train station.

I can only say good things about this property. Just beside Engelberg railway station and what a view of Mt. Titlis from balcony. The two ever smiling ladies at the reception. For Indians, there is an indian restaurant in front of the hotel. But one must stay in this hotel with balcony for the mesmerising view. The three days were the best of our europe trip.

We had a lovely getaway to Engelberg at Hotel Waldegg. The mountain views from everywhere--the room, the restaurants and pool-- are absolutely fantastic! The room was cozy, clean and modern, and we really enjoyed our Thai dinner at Siam. The staff were super friendly, overall great service. Thank you!

Loved this hotel! In the very centre of Engelberg, in the walking street. Nice view from the balcony and lively atmosphere around! Light wood in the room makes it cozy. And overall the place feels so Swiss))) And yes, their tasty breakfast in a good atmosphere is definitely not to be missed!
