United StatesThe view from this town is amazing. The shuttle service into Zermatt saved hundreds of dollars for me as a solo traveler letting me not book directly in Zermatt itself. All the staff were very helpful and my dinner at the restaurant was also very good and classy. While skiing in the USA has gotten very corporate and some ski town locals struggle to keep up, the locals in Switzerland have kept organic and family oriented business intact. Support this family and their multi generational family business!

Great ski slopes, a lot of different restaurants, amazing hiking paths and a great view. The locals are welcoming and there's always something fun going on. We actually have a family member who loves it so much they're planning on moving there. Super family-friendly as well, even with very small kids.

Very nice and beautiful town. The town itself as well as the area around it.
Before going there, I was a bit concerned about the car free zone, but it turned out to be very easy to park the car, and very easy to get around in the relatively small town. Once the car was parked it was very nice to be in a place without cars.

The best ski resort if you just want to relax and ski with amazing views! not too big, not too crowded. Perfect infrastructure. Super nice slopes, all very logical and well organized. I keep coming back.

A nice place, even in summer.
A nice place, even in summer. It's a large car-free zone that you can't drive into. Hotels offer shuttle services. There are many hiking and excursion options. Tip: Take the cable car up to the Jungen Alp. But basically, Grächen is pretty quiet in the summer – at least that's what we found.

It was a very nice place, but you should be aware beforehand that the hotel might be located in a car-free zone – it could get quite expensive if you don't pay attention to that. But that also makes it very quiet :)

Wonderful location, high above the village of Gràchen, with fantastic views across the valley. The room was large and comfortable, very clean and had a large balcony. Tea and coffee making facilities and a very quiet location. The breakfast was lovely and the restaurant food was very food. The staff were so friendly and took a real interest in what the guests were doing on their trip.

The location is perfect. Beautiful scenery surrounded by the snowy mountains and classic houses remind me of the Hobbit film. The owner also very friendly and helpful. Grachen also consider to be a cheaper option if you are planning to go to Zermat.
