We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Arni Alp Hotel in Saxeten last week, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. From the very beginning, the experience was seamless and welcoming. The owner personally offered free pickup and drop-off from Wilderswil, which made arriving and leaving completely stress-free. That thoughtful gesture set the tone for the entire stay — warm, personal, and attentive. The hotel itself is a gem. Our room was superb — spacious, spotlessly clean, and filled with rustic alpine charm while still offering all the modern comforts we could want. Waking up each morning to breathtaking mountain views from the window felt like something out of a postcard. The peacefulness of Saxeten is unmatched; it’s the perfect escape from busy tourist areas while still being close enough to explore the region easily. During our stay, we enjoyed hiking trails that start right from the hotel’s doorstep, leading through meadows, forests, and up into the Alps. Each walk revealed another stunning panorama — from snow-capped peaks to lush valleys dotted with traditional Swiss chalets. It was impossible not to stop every few minutes just to soak in the scenery. The services provided by the owner went far beyond what we expected. From offering local tips on the best routes and viewpoints, to ensuring everything in the room was perfect, to creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, we truly felt cared for as guests. The kitchen facilities and common areas were excellent as well, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. In short, our stay at the Arni Alp Hotel was unforgettable. The combination of a superb room, stunning alpine surroundings, and the exceptional hospitality of the owner made this a highlight of our trip to Switzerland. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic, relaxing, and memorable alpine escape. We can’t wait to return!

Lovely cozy property in the alps! The staff upgraded us and they were so kind the whole time. The view was also spectacular!

automated check-in was simple and easy but I wish they bad instructions in english. it is a very simple hotel, by the train station and there are no shops or restaurants nearby. The rooms were very clean and the view was gorgeous.
