SpainMy husband and I had a greatest time and experience at the Hotel Restaurant Waldhaus. It is a cozy, family owned hotel in Luekerbad with a warm feel to the place. Joshua, the concierge, was kind in answering all the questions I had anticipating our stay with them. The staff was friendly and helpful in providing for all our needs. The ski lift, rental stores, and thermal baths were all within a 10 minute walk and great deals were provided by the hotel. There’s a ski trail that takes you straight back to the hotel! So awesome after snowboarding all day and not wanting to walk back.
The restaurant was fantastic and the food was delicious. The owners greeted us during meals and were very friendly. It was a great experience, hosted by the kindest family, and we will definitely stay again.

It's a very cool place.
It's a very cool place. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay. We took the cable car from the top of the mountain after having walked from the Hotel Schwarenbach. Make sure to bring your Visa card as everything is expensive. That's not a complaint, it's just the reality of a tourist, mountain town.
We went to the thermal baths and that was fun. We stayed at the Hotel Waldhaus. Highly recommended as well.

We loved the thermal baths! We got a reduction with the Leukerbad card.
Many restaurants were still closed and the lifts to the Gemmi and the Torrent were not yet working (they were being revised), as this was not yet the tourist season.
The campsite was already quite busy.
We ate at the pizzeria Giardino and also in a restaurant in a nearby village (Albinen).
On a walk (you need good shoes) to the nearby hamlet of Birchen, we stopped at the friendly cafe. We saw plenty of bikers too.

The walk along the valley to Bodmen, with lunch at the Bodmenstübli restaurant, is always a pleasure. As is the walk around the Daubensee from the Gemmi. We enjoyed the Alpentherme thermal baths, which are quieter and more relaxing. We were a little disappointed because it is unfortunately no longer as well maintained as before. The tearoom in the Alpentherme complex is always worth a stop, whether it be for breakfast, morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea!

We went to climb the Gemmi Klettersteig and stopped to join the Thermal Baths. The town is so adorably... swiss! Well organized and ideal for hikers and mountain lovers!
Parking is difficult though and a little expensive, considering that you have no other choice.

Perfect starting point for hikes. Lot of activities to do there, climbing, cycling, relax, hiking … also possibilities to eat in restaurants, enought of markets, some bakery… also pool and thermal pool for rainy days… bus connections

The reception and staff were extremely friendly. The hotel is located centrally, next to the Leukerbad Therme. We obtained a free parking slot. The classical Swiss (or German) breakfast (which I liked! ) was included in our stay. I hardly ever slept better than in this hotel.

Very well located hotel, just a hop and skip to the thermal baths. Breakfast continental buffet was very good, great coffee, tea, viennoiserie, meats and cheeses. Room was spacious and very clean.
