Historic Luzern is so pretty with the Chapel Bridge and Christmas lights. It was also magical in the snow the next morning! Restaurants are plentiful and high quality. Our trip to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and Interlaken was lovely in the snow too.

We were only there two days, and the first day we did a walking tour of the city and the second day was an outing to Mount Titlis. If we were there longer we would have done a boat trip round the lake and gone up Mount Pilatus.

Beautiful city that caters very well for tourists. As an English speaker I had no issues with communication everywhere.
We walked to most places and appreciated the general flatness of Lucerne (except for the climb up to the city wall and museum).
From a culinary perspective you will not be disappointed with a wide variety of restaurants and cafes to choose from.

Fantastic city - great restaurants, plenty of wonderful historic sites, loved the public transportation options and ease of access to outlying areas. We felt safe and welcomed. We really loved the medieval wall with towers and the closeness of Mt. Rigi.

Lucerne city center is very easy to walk around.
Lucerne city center is very easy to walk around. Spend some time strolling at the lake promenade and other times sipping coffee in different cafes in the small streets. Also, the small train tour is worth it to explore the history and nice architecture If you have time.

I booked this hotel due to its reasonable price point, and was a bit skeptical due to some poor reviews - however our experience was great. The host met us at the hotel upon arrival and showed us our room. The room is basic, but well equipped and we liked having the option of the kitchen facilities. The hotel is very close walking distance to grocery stores, cafes and the main river/central Lucerne. Definitely a good place to use as a base for exploring the city if you don’t mind a basic room.

Stunning views & wonderful staff! The hotel was clean and modern with everything you need at your fingertips. Having the bus that takes you into the heart of Lucerne right out the front was so convenient and having the ferry stop at the hotel was also an excellent addition. You cannot beat the incredible views that Switzerland has to offer right in front of you. All of the staff we encountered were so kind, welcoming and helpful! We could not recommend this wonderful hotel more.

The staff was attentive, the room was nice and clean.
The location is perfect, near to Lucerne lake.
The parking is right next to the hotel and there is an itailian restaurant also
We enjoyed walking around the hotel's neighborhood.

Great location with free bus into Lucerne. We had a room on the 1st floor with a balcony, so great view and comfortable bed. Our dog was welcome everywhere in the hotel and a lovely walk from back of the grounds
