Lugano is a wonderful big town/small city. Amazing views in all directions. So many amazing hikes available, so just soak up the energy of downtown. Hike along the lake to Gandria. You can bus (or funicular) up to Mt. Bre and hike in many directions from there. Ferry across the lake to Italy for lunch. So many possibilities!

Lugano is wonderful and a total paradise for cyclists! I come here all the time, I could not recommend more. Amazing routes around Lago di Lugano, Maggiore, Como… Delicious bakeries for tasty treats and refuelling whether Alpe di Neggia and Luino side or Menaggio Como side! Superb hotels and restaurants in Lugano to enjoy post-ride, also lovely chic (not sports) shopping! Absolutely recommend, but definitely prioritise Lugano Centro and lakeside, more expensive but so so worth it (Paradiso or inland horrible)

Lugano is a nice little town with all facilities and transportation points near at hand. Monte Bre and Monte San Salvatore are excellent points to visit with breathtaking panoramic views. We also did a day trip to Morcote which was also very nice specially Scherrer's Park. Back in Lugano, Parco Ciani and Piazza Riforma are excellent places to hang around and have meals. We had some excellent Ticinese food at La Tinera which is not to be missed if one wants to sample the regional cuisine.

A lovely town filled with shops and restaurants on the edge of a stunning lake. A great place to take a boat ride to nearby towns, go for walks or enjoy the lake with nice restaurants and shops. There are two gondolas nearby and it's a short train ride to the castles of Bellinzona or the activities near Monte Tamaro.
A boat ride to Gandria is also lovely, as is the walk back to Lugano.

The hotel was good.
The hotel was good. Lugano had a lot of Somalian and others who were very aggressive with begging. One Somalian was essentially trying to commit strong armed robbery. Just be aware of your surroundings.

One of the most beautiful places in the region. Tourists' friendly atmosphere. Fantastic Free Ticino Transportation Ticket. Ability to visit other towns i.e. Locarno, Bellinzona in convenient way. Spectacular views from mountains around Lugano i.e. Monte San Salvatore. Close to other attractions i.e. Milan, Como Lake, Brassalago Islands.

Very kind hotel's responsible person, he did his best, despite some issues at the check-in with the Booking portal.
The portal didn't work, so they had to charge manually my credit card again.
Not the receptionist's fault, though.
The artists who have slept at the hotel and I booked the 3 rooms for were really satisfied about the nice cozy rooms, the amazingly comfortable beds, the heating and the view over Lugano right outside the hotel's door.

Very nice hotel with beautiful scenery of Lugano lake and mountain. Nearby city's center and a lovely small square just in front of the hotel. Lots of luxury brand shops on the Nassa street. Big balcony, a cup of wine on chair to see the lake and mountain. Museum LAC and MASK just few minutes to access by walk. All staffs kind and supportive. Breakfast quite comfortable.

The garden and the lido are amazing! Breakfast has a very nice choice and when you can have it outside with the view to the garden it is super nice. Also all the staff is very good trained and does an excellent job. We also already stayed in several other 4 and 5 start hotels in Ticino, compared to the other option the price/ value ratio is here great!

Clean place and friendly staff. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but we were told it costs 12 CHF extra per person.
Despite the large road below the hotel, the noise was only present when opening the windows and only in the evening/morning (during the night it was very quiet)

Location at the end of platform 4 was very convenient and also the funicular to town. Loved the elegance of the hotel and happy hour. The bed and pillows were the best we found on our Switzerland journey.
