We really liked it! Modern and updated apartment in a quiet neighborhood with an amazing view of Lake Thun from the balcony and the living room. The family who owns it are friendly, responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a drop-dead gorgeous location and property. We stayed here the night of our mini elopement and it was an absolute dream. They also have a partnership with the hotel next door to have access to their spa facilities. This was a wonderful surprise upon arrival. We're sad to have only spend one night here, but it was everything we hoped for.

It’s an amazing experience for us. The host and her family were indeed very supportive and friendly as mentioned in all the comments and we followed Celine’s recommendation to a hiking trip nearby. The road, the waterfall and the restaurant on the road… just love it. Bathing water is warm and stable. Food is so fresh and tasty. Will definitely come back.

We stayed in the guard tower room, which is a bit different from most of the rooms in the hotel. It's right above the castle gate, with windows on 3 sides, but since the walls are 70cm thick and made of stone, it's very well insulated from noise. The conveniences/electrical system were slightly constrained by the fact that we were surrounded by thick stone, but they nonethless did a great job of making a beautiful, comfortable, and engagingly quirky room. Breakfast was also exceptional, with some of the best bread and pastry I've had in Switzerland.

    Oberhofen is fantastically located, especially for a hiking holiday – it is a quiet, charming village with excellent boat and bus connections to Thun and Interlaken. There are several very nice restaurants and bars, some right on the lake with magnificent views.

    time restriction to use washing matching n dryer when other guest were using it outside the recommended hr.no information given for entry and host was not picking up call and we all were on midday of the road till 1am. Hot tub was not working coffee pots was not enough.no shampoo or conditioner given. cleanness was not up to the normal stander very disappointing experience with the host

    Oberhofen Is an area in the outskirts of the city of Thun and it also is located on the shores of lake Thun. There is nothing particularly good about the place except that if you walk 400m you can sit by the lake in a not so bad of a location in terms of view.
