Beautiful location, very professional hospitalty infrastructure (room service, dry cleaning etc.). Close to the lake. My room had an access to a large terrace. Bike storage. Friendly staff. The location is perfect for public transport travelers. Lindau, Bregenz, and St. Gallen are very close. The lakeside promenade is lovely. The townscape is somewhat eclectic – a mix of some well-preserved, some dilapidated old buildings, and an above-average number of horrifically poorly designed new buildings.

Rorschach is idyllically situated between Lake Constance and the mountains. If you want to swim, cycle, hike, shop, or simply relax, come to this wonderful town on Lake Constance. Bring some money and a willingness to spend it, and it will be perfect!

Rorschach is simply fantastically situated right on Lake Constance. A beautiful, long promenade with restaurants directly on the lake. Very dog-friendly. Of course, it's expensive, but that's not unique to Rorschach – it's Switzerland after all! The Spanish restaurant "El Cid" is great and very reasonably priced, as it's run by a non-profit organization. The town center and shops are all easily accessible on foot.

Unfortunately, many places are closed or only open in the evenings. It was much livelier about 20 years ago. Local specialties are hard to find. Sadly, I also couldn't find any cider anywhere, which is actually typical for eastern Switzerland.

I think that the cities we visited, such as Lindau,...

I think that the cities we visited, such as Lindau, Constance, or Bregenz on the lake, are much prettier and have more to see than Rorschach. I therefore advise visitors to focus on these cities in Germany and Austria; moreover, life there is much cheaper than in Switzerland.

Very nice and spacious apartment that is newly renovated and well equipped. It is located in a quiet area and the city area is in short walking distance as well as some restaurants and a bakery. The tenant was very responsive, very helpful, and arranged the parking registration that you need in Rorschach. Instructions for the access to the apartment were precise and easy.

Very helpful staff. Close to all amenities in Rorschach. Having lived in Rorschacherberg for 14 years we new the area very well. Our dog also had a great time travelling with us. Only problem is we are now back in Scotland and the weather is much colder!
