Carlton Hotel St Moritz - The Leading Hotels of the World, Hotel Salastrains, and Randolins Familienresort got great room view-related reviews from travelers in St. Moritz.
St Moritz is always nice, any time of the year, but for the Christmas break it is magic. The decorations in the old town and around are super nice, the ambience as well. The people are always very friendly and welcoming tourists. You can find everything you need and walking around it is very nice. The town is small and at human scale, super cozy. Streets are very well maintained, parking is convenient, train station, ski lifts, all great. The slopes are very easy, so ideal to ski with the family. There are also many restaurants on the mountain to choose from. The towns around st moritz like Celerina or Suvretta and silvaplana are also worth a visit.
The lakes really exceed my expectation. St. Moritz was only considered a starting point of the Glacier Express for me, but i ended up I found it more splendid than the Glacier Express. Walking around the lakes is definitely a great fun.
It was good for a day. I would come again for sure but after arrive from Glacier express I will rent a Bike and ride around and leave next day. Unless it's winter and you can ski. a lot of places were closed
Having never been to St. Moritz but thinking of it as a kind of rich and famous place I found the people we came in contact with to be nothing of the sort. They were kind, helpful, enthusiastic to guests. I wish we had more time there. It was beautiful as expected; it didn't disappoint.
There are much nicer destinations in Switzerland than this city. It is interesting to try it and see it, but what is special about it is that it doesn't have much in common with a typical swiss city. It is very cosmopolitan, very touristic, relatively modern, but out of some special events or skiing season it doesn't have much to offer. Narrow streets with dense traffic don't add any charm to it neither. Lastly, it's well overpriced. Not really worth it.
The skiing was great when the weather was clear. I will caution other travelers that due to the altitude, the clouds can come lower than the peaks of the mountains. I highly recommend taking a lesson as our ski school experience was top notch. If you do wind up there on a day with low visibility, follow the people in the red jackets. They are usually instructors who know where they're going. Getting around St Moritz was easy using an efficient, clean bus system. Lastly, if you want chocolate Laderach is really good, but you can also find delicious chocolate at the grocery stores for a fraction of the price.
St. Moritz
I loved EVERYTHING about this place. The room had a Small Kitchenette, strong WiFi, clean facilities, easy to access and close to everything. Even Laundry in building! Bus station just minutes walking and also Lake St. Moritz. Daniel was an incredible host. I will be back here I hope every soon. Also multiple Grocery stores close by. Came during off season and was upgraded to an available larger room.
I like the amenities of this hotel. though it may be a bit pricey but definitely worth the payment you spend on. YOU TOTALLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. the staff were all accomodating they also picked us up at the train station which was a 3 mins ride haha in a rolls Royce. 😎 it was snowing during our stay they were able to accomodate us complimentary ride to and from the shops around st moritz
The breakfast was very good and the location as well, its not more than 10 minutes walking to the center. The hotel is very close to Corviglia lift (like 12 minutes walking) and the staff kindly help us getting the tickets for our ski day. Also the restaurant has very good food. Facilities such as pool, sauna made our stay amazing!
Hotel Arte is a hidden a gem. We were nearby everything. A few steps from the fame Kulm Hotel, St. Moritz's central square, Schiefer Turm, and other top sights. My husband was pleased the hotel offered parking, complimentary Espresso, and a good European breakfast. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent hotel, extremely attentive and kind staff (particular compliments to the receptionist Nicola), good inhouse restaurant, comfortable rooms with great beds and lots of small comforts. Very clean and tidy. Nearby spa included in the reservation is a must visit (it even has awesome water slides!).
Incredibly clean, apartment is fitted out perfectly, it has everything you need. The location is great in terms of its next to Hotel Sonne which has a great restaurant. Some of the blocks of flats nearby are very ugly to look at but you are near to town the lake etc so its a minor issue.
Everything was as it should be in 5 star hotel. Personnel at breakfast was really very helpful and professional especially Bojan, Mario, Jure etc. Concierge was giving us proper tips for hiking trails and accurate weather forecast. Valley parking was functioning very well
St. Moritz
The amount of amenities for the price. Cleanliness, options to be separate because of COVID, breakfast, bus takes you from st. Moritz station to right in front of the hostel. Great facilities. Exceeded my expectations.
