Carlton Hotel St Moritz - The Leading Hotels of the World, Hotel Salastrains, and Hotel Schweizerhof St. Moritz got great room view-related reviews from travelers in St. Moritz.
St. Moritz is a convenient ski town and easy to get around. Lots of restaurants to choose from on and off the mountain. I liked there was a free bus for skiers available to the mountain. The mountain is a large size so you feel like you can do different runs every day. I did not like how expensive the mountain and town were. Ski mountains/towns are notorious for being expensive but this mountain and the town were a bit over the top. I also didn't think the price justified the service and quality of food or products I was purchasing. Due to this cost, it brings in a level of clientele that is not excited about apres ski culture, which was a disappointment.
We have skied all over the US, and St Moritz was hands down the best location for not just skiing but things to do and places for Michelin starred meals. The Kempinski was not in town center, but had a convenient shuttle to town and the best part was it’s walkable to the gondola for skiing. There is a ski equipment rental in the hotel making it easy to ski for just a day or the week. The restaurants were amazing. Ca d’ Oro is Michelin and D’ Adriano’s had exceptional Italian fare. Breakfast was best anywhere we have ever stayed with an abundant buffet or menu with made to order items like eggs Benedict. The concierge service and spa made our trip very special. Will return for sure.
St Moritz is always nice, any time of the year, but for the Christmas break it is magic. The decorations in the old town and around are super nice, the ambience as well. The people are always very friendly and welcoming tourists. You can find everything you need and walking around it is very nice. The town is small and at human scale, super cozy. Streets are very well maintained, parking is convenient, train station, ski lifts, all great. The slopes are very easy, so ideal to ski with the family. There are also many restaurants on the mountain to choose from. The towns around st moritz like Celerina or Suvretta and silvaplana are also worth a visit.
The lakes really exceed my expectation. St. Moritz was only considered a starting point of the Glacier Express for me, but i ended up I found it more splendid than the Glacier Express. Walking around the lakes is definitely a great fun.
It was good for a day. I would come again for sure but after arrive from Glacier express I will rent a Bike and ride around and leave next day. Unless it's winter and you can ski. a lot of places were closed
Having never been to St. Moritz but thinking of it as a kind of rich and famous place I found the people we came in contact with to be nothing of the sort. They were kind, helpful, enthusiastic to guests. I wish we had more time there. It was beautiful as expected; it didn't disappoint.
Everything was perfect. From the pick up from the station to the drop off. The driver was very kind and friendly. The girl at reception Maria was absolutely lovely and so friendly. The bed was soft and so comfortable. Spa area was a lovely bonus with sauna, steam room and swimming pool. Very clean and nothing missing. Breakfast was delicious. Nice view from the window as well. Would recommend this hotel which is in a short walking distance from everything in town. Fondue in the restaurant was very yummy.
Had a really great stay in late January. Nice spacious rooms, a beautiful hotel with a warm and cosy atmosphere. The main restaurant Hide & Seek serves fresh and seasonal/local food. We enjoyed drinks in the large bar in front of the fireplace before dinner. Staff all around were always very friendly and helpful. They have a nice spa with saunas and steam rooms, plus many different choices for treatments. 10/10 will definitely go again.
With an uninterrupted view of the lake, the mountains and the town, it was hard not to like this hotel. The staff were friendly, breakfasts very good, advice on where to go was really helpful. It was really quiet too. A room change was arranged without any fuss after the first night. As Australians with no German or Swiss language knowledge, the staff were great at still helping us to feel welcome. Gordana in the restaurant was especially friendly.
Decent and well located hotel with a really good restaurant. Reasonable option for a short travel, close to the train station and for having a walk around the city. It is possible to have some nice view from some rooms, however not panoramic. Overall the room was comfortable, beds especially, and quiet. However we've been upgraded, so can't tell about more standard rooms.
We stayed in the recently refurbished wing of the hotel. The rooms were great! The bar area was really nice too. We ate in two of the hotel’s restaurants.(Italian and Thai) and they were both really nice and good quality. Breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice. All the staff were really nice and friendly. Free parking which was an added bonus too.
Fantastic breakfast, great location, stellar staff service (quite rare in a post-Covid world..). Arrived without any ski gear and the concierges went out of their way to help me find my outfits. Also all of the hotel restaurants are delicious and there's an option for every taste. Will definitely come back!
Nice room size, lot of storage space for clothing Very comfy bed and high quality linen Super central location, restaurants very close Nice Sauna with a magnificent view in 6.th floor Nice Sky Bar with an excellent view Ski-room Ski-train is pretty close to the hotel, short walk
The views and location were excellent. Close to shops and fine restaurants. The staff were very friendly and very helpful especially the wonderful gentleman at the reception. We love our room. I would definitely recommend the Languard hotel.
The hotel wasn't that near to the train station but the hotel provides complementary pickup from the train station and it was fast! Breakfast was simple and nice. We had the hot stone dinner at teh restaurant and it was very interesting!
The room is very good, very clean, the equipment is very good, the bath is very comfortable, the beds are very good, the scenery of the hotel restaurant is very beautiful, the breakfast is simple but OK, and the price is reasonable.
Quite historical hotel, great central location, next to cable car, easy to reach, nice and kind staff at the reception. In a well served area with shops, transportation and a lot of restaurants, cafe and bars.
A nice hotel with beautiful views in a mountain setting. The staff was very nice, and food was wonderful. it’s quiet elegance was underscored by the courteous competence of the staff.
The view from the room was beautiful. The room was larger than most hotel rooms. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and dessert was perfect.
Nice hotel room. Good breakfast and friendly staff. The Wifi is also good and a good restaurant and bar.
