location, the quaintness, the balcony w the mountain view, the patio and garden… all were top class but what exceeded my expectations most was the hospitality of the hotel staff! truly exceptional service and people in the staff at Hotel Regina! My wife forgot her glasses (corrective lens) in one of the two rooms my family had booked. I got in touch with the staff and they were extremely helpful in finding them. the Hotel staff went on to courier the item to us from Wengen all the way across the pond to Canada. Goes to show the care, courtesy and class of the people at Hotel Regina. I am 100% staying here next time I return to Wengen.

Hotel Schönegg, Hotel & Spa Silberhorn Wengen and Hotel Edelweiss have received great reviews from travellers in Wengen regarding the views from their hotel rooms.
We chose Wengen over Murren and we were glad that we did. Easy access to trains and a wider range of shops in the community. Nice hiking around the community. Gorgeous views. Our hotel (Alpenrose) was a short walk from the town, and it was very quiet and relaxing. We had breakfast and dinner at our hotel . The food was very good and it was nice not having to figure out a place to have dinner after a long day of hiking.
Wengen is wonderful town. Very quiet and peaceful. Merchants were friendly and pleasant. The Visitor Center was especially helpful about visiting the Jungfraujoch with bad weather. We will return again soon.
We absolutely loved this quaint village. We were there in September. The views were absolutely stunning in all directions. The locals were so friendly and welcoming. We watched a wonderful folk show one night with dancing, singing… the gardens around town were beautiful, there is a community pool for swimming, groceries available, many restaurants, a little shopping, kids activities, birding, and it’s car free! One of the best parts was the peace and quiet at night. It’s a great jumping off point for many mountain hiking options or going to another area in the valley with plenty of train and gondola service/times. We could have stayed another week!
Beautiful, pristine, peaceful, car free Wengen. Hilly in places. Taxis quite costly, at CHF25 one way up a small hill to accommodations (just about the only cars you will see!) - friendly family run taxis , which you can prebook to take you to your Chalet, or just call on arrival at Wengen station. Station very centrally located. Trains run super efficiently. Lauterbrunnen 15 mins down valley by train. Mannlichen Cable Car in the centre of village, to top for beautiful views and lunch. Easy from there to get to Grindlewald by gondola. Jungfraujoch pleasant 90 min train journey from Wengen with one stop half way, at Kleine Sheidegg. About £150 return pp, but fabulous experience. A central Co-Op store is open daily 8am until 6:30pm right opposite the station. Dorflade supermarket smaller but more authentic. Hotels and restaurants offer good variety of eating out options. Take the train to Interlaken Ost via Lauterbrunnen, and pick up Paddle Steamer to Brienz. About 90 mins on the water. Take lunch either on steamer or in Brienz. Walking/hiking options look amazing but we didn’t do this. ** Bear in mind that shops close over lunchtime in the Wengen area, but restaurants are open. If you plan to leave earlier on a trip, you will have time in these villages to shop or sightsee and then eat.
A car free town with great views of Lauterbrunnen valley and mount Eiger, Monch and Jungfroujoch. Very well connected with trains and cable car to Maanlichen and then onward to Grindelwald. Buy a Berner Oberland pass if you’re going to be travelling in the area a lot.
I have visited Wengen several times, both summer and winter. It’s a dream place for those who enjoy nature and outdoor activities. Its location is excellent for visiting the Jungfrau. It is a small, calm town generally and it’s a delight. No cars allowed, just like in Zermatt, it’s great. The restaurants offer has increased significantly over the years. People are helpful and very much aware of their dependence on tourism.
Wengen
Every thing was perfect. Julie is probably the best host i have ever come across, she is very professional. The check in instructions were clear and helpful and the whole process was seamless. The property itself was better than a 5 star resort suite. It was spotless, excellent size for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, kitchen was well equiped, location was excellent and close to the train stations and above all majestic views. I would highly recommend to contact Julie if you are travelling to Wengen.
My phone didn't work in Switzerland(the calling feature was blocked because Switzerland was not an EU country), but I was glad to find that there was a calling station that allowed me to contact the hotel to arrange a shuttle bus. We had the top floor room, which we had to climb the last story through the stairs. The room is fairly big with a couch, and it was clean. The breakfast was nice and the staff were helpful. The garden has great view and you can see Jungfrau!
Wengen
Cosy, comfortable and well-equipped apartment a few minutes walk from the centre of Wengen, at the entrance to the Hotel Wengerhof grounds. We had the one bedroom apartment Mönch on the ground floor. Plenty of room for two people, full kitchen and a nice balcony as well as access to the HotelcWengerhof gardens. The apartment is in typical Swiss 1970s/1980s style but perfectly comfortable and functional. We’d be happy to stay there again.
This was one of our best stays. The hotel staff works like a small family and treats customers with utmost care. The location is brilliant, rooms are great, but mostly we enjoyed the food. Although we were vegetarians, the chef prepared mouth watering dishes using fresh herbs picked from hotel garden. Would highly recommend having the 4-course meal during dinner at the hotel.
The hotel is simple but charming, with incredible views from the balconies. I found the bed, pillow and covers very comfy. The breakfast is very good, and the staff is very friendly. It was nice to end the day skiing in directly to the snow bar, with drinks and music. It is a good cost benefit in Wengen, a village that can be quite expensive.
The corner room had plenty of mountain views, and the balcony was very nice. The restaurant prepared very good food. The breads at breakfast were wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the shuttle to the train station is useful. The lobby is very attractive. I've stayed here before and it is my top choice in Wengen.
Hotel was in a brilliant location. Right next to the Wengen train station from lauberhorn. There was a ski rental shop right next door and the main ski lift was a few meters away. The snow was good, so we could almost ski all the way to the door. The spa facilities were a nice addition, but very busy in the evening.
Wengen
It was just 100 meters from where we had spent our first two nights, so it made switching apartments very easy. Christian answered our messages instantly & allowed us to store our luggage in her ski room prior to our check in time. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Wengen!
Wengen

The hotel is in the middle of Wengen, 3 minutes walk from the train station. The views from the balcony are amazing. The place is very cozy. I will definitely come back here.
A lovely boutique hotel in a great location, 2 minutes walk from Wengen station. The food is superb and the staff are very friendly and super helpful. Highly recommended!
