Our two rooms were thoughtfully rearranged so that they were next to each other. There were too many extras to even mention; nightlight in the bathroom, robe and slippers, umbrella in the closet, refrigerator, microwave, and accessories, etc. and when we were checking out, the whole staff/family came and said goodbye. I love these people!

Only about 10 minutes to the train station and 15 minutes to coach parking. Staff in the restaurant and front desk extremely courteous and helpful…always a smile on their face. Room and bathroom very clean and made up every day. Air conditioning, which was required during my trip due to the hot weather, worked extremely well. Bottled water was replaced every day in my room. Breakfast was fabulous. Eggs and bacon were cooked fresh as per my order on arrival in the restaurant. Breakfast served in their main restaurant which had great ambience…white tablecloths and candles all over the place. Waitresses and manager made you feel like home. Free at the front desk every day…sweet cherries, nectarines, bottled water and nespresso coffee. Easy on line checkout.

It's an OK city. Pricey! Overall everywhere in Switzerland is very expensive, especially with the meals! It appeared that the restaurants want your money but do not want to feed you! Very small portion of food! They even charge you for tap water, 4 Swiss Franks for 0.5 ml and 8 Swiss Franks for 1 liter. Charging tap water for money is everywhere in Switzerland, not just in Zurich. If you ordered food without a drink, they immediately showed reluctancy to serve you. They make sure they will not miss any chance to charge you. If you want to see Switzerland, go in the summer. After October, almost everything is closed. Transportation in Switzerland is very expensive. Next time, I would spend my vacation and my money in Germany, at least the German restaurants' prices are decent and they serve pretty big portion of food! It is much cheaper to travel in Germany!

Beautiful city with plenty to see, however our 2 week Swiss vacation was centred on Lucern, Zermatt and Interlaken.
We chose to only stay one night prior to our departing flight due to the many reviews we had seen that highlight how expensive Zurich is.
Our limited experience was that Zurich wasn’t exponentially more expensive than those other areas we visited and did deserve another couple of nights to take in more of what the city has to offer.

At the main train station go to the tourist office, they have lots of offers and useful tips for tourists. Avoid organized excursions offered by various internet agencies because they are far too expensive. Thanks to the good transport connections, you can visit all the attractions by yourself with great savings.

The apartment is in a short/long term building, with a variety of residents. It is located somewhat convenient to the train station, and a 20 min walk to the old part of town. There is a convenient supermarket just downstairs, but there are limited eating places nearby. The only negative is that the building is close to a street that caters to drugs and prostitution, and you can run into all the crazies at the entrance to the building.

Fraumunster Chagall windows are worth a visit. Zurich Airport is on the route to other attractions in Switzerland and Europe so a stopover in the city is worthwhile. I think one day and night in Zurich would suffice for most travelers from the USA.

Had to book a hotel last minute close to the airport as my flight was cancelled. Although I am thankful to have found a room, the price charged was very high in comparison to the quality of the hotel. I appreciate that this is Zurich, but the value for money is not commensurate in my view. Moreover, it is far away from the airport and can only be reached by shuttle if booked in advance. If not a taxi would set you back min. CHF 40 per ride!

It is a great mix between the old and the new. The old building has much style and charm while the modern interiors make the hotel a very pleasant place to stay. The reception staff were very welcoming. Everything was spotlessly clean. The location is very good, five minutes walk from the station which has a very quick direct connection to Zurich HB and on to the airport.
