The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped: air–conditioning, fast and reliable Wi-Fi, and a comfortable bed made it a perfect place to relax. The bathroom had modern amenities and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. 
Each morning the breakfast buffet offered a wide selection, from fresh fruit and pastries to warm dishes, ideal for starting the day right. 
What made the stay extra pleasant was the hotel’s facilities: a pool, free on-site parking, and even an airport shuttle. 
Finally, the location is great, easy access whether you need to get around Abidjan or head to the airport.

BelgiumI think some of the customer reviews of Hotel Wafou are a bit harsh. Of course, there’s always room for improvement, but overall it’s a really nice option. Compared to many other hotels in Abidjan, it offers a pleasant setting and solid services at a price that’s not cheap, but fair given the competition.
The place is beautiful, even if some areas could use a refresh – but we all know that rain, sun, and heat don’t go easy on facilities. The pool is gorgeous, the amphitheater impressive, and the restaurant is good (though not cheap). The staff is lovely, the rooms are original, clean, and functional. The AC works perfectly and all the expected services are there.
So, if you’re looking for a nice hotel in Abidjan, convenient for work, in a lively and well-located neighborhood like Biétry, I’d recommend Hotel Wafou.

The food is excellent, both the local and continental. Their pastries are not to be missed! I loved Chez Ambrose , for local food and ITC for coffee. The cabaret shows at West were spectacular. Ivorians are also very nice, kind and unintrusive. I loved Abijan and would love to revisit.

Abidjan is a beautiful city.
Abidjan is a beautiful city. But note that there are traffic jam which can keep you on the road for hours. Avoid the areas with high traffic and use the Henri Konan Bedie Bridge to avoid traffic especially when coming from the airport.

Beautiful city between modernity and traditions. The food is great and locals are so nice. I recommend coming to abidjan and visit other cities in Cote divoire. The country is rich in culture and history.

General prices very high compared to South AFrica (Average 2.5x)
Very Very Humid . Aircon essential.
Streets generally neat , buildings average for Africa (run down / under construction) - but clean and neater streets really make the city look more modern than one can believe.
Very French influenced - some great bakeries and food.
Internet says 4G but much slower / poor reception than many other countries.
Had one night with a water interruption .
Traffic during rush hour is CRAAAZZZYYYYYYY. Dont even bother with Taxi during this time unless you can wait 45min to get one.
No really nice beaches close to Abidjan - be prepared to drive out for this.

Nice breakfast that included an omelette and fruit. The location was handy to the airport and also good for shared taxis to Grand Bassam. Bakeries, clean restaurants and street food available close by. The hotel is in a quiet and safe residential street, though accessible to a main road. The staff were very friendly and helpful with travel advice and went way beyond the usual to help. A good location for meeting other travellers.

The Hotel is almost new and very comfortable, with large rooms and a nice swimming pool.
The gym is ok, may be some more equipments could be added but it is actually fine.
The restaurant offers a good choice of international, local and asian food. But it is a bit expensive in my opinion.
Breakfats is ok, great choice and good food.
The staff is really kind!
