A typical little town of south of Chile, where the inffluence of german culture is evident everywhere. Quite streets and a beautiful landscape of lake Llanquihue and Osorno Volcano, and houses with typical german architecture. Good access to services and infraestructure. The most beautiful and modern theater in CHile is located at Frutillar: el Teatro del Lago.

This beautiful town has an amazing history which is very well preserved in its architecture and culture. The german colonization museum is a window into the past, the kuchen pie is delicious and the town seems right out of a fairy tale. The Teatro del Lago is amazing, if you're going to Frutillar you must watch at least one concert there.

Quiet and small little town, worth a detour if you are in the region. Can definitely be done as a day trip. Try to catch a show at the lake theatre, and swim in the lake. The German heritage museum was a little disappointing ( not all that informative) , but is still worth it if you are in town. Getting to Frutillar from Puerto Varas by public transportation is very easy. Small buses leave every 20 min approximately, from the Banco de Chile (in Puerto Varas) and the center of Frutillar bajo (by the lake).

From $105 per nightThe view is remarkable! You can see the Osorno Volcano and Lake Llanquihue from the living room and the larger bedroom. Even though is was summer, we were lucky to get perfect weather: cool but sunny and picture-perfect for photos in the cabin and in Frutillar Bajo. I intend to stay here again. I loved that the cabin was both modern but environmentally friendly. Do yourself a favor and get the breakfast at least once. It's a delicious and substantial as the adorable presentation.
