It's a destination close to Santiago, with many places to...

It's a destination close to Santiago, with many places to eat at different price points, and markets for all budgets, making it a fantastic destination for families. It also has Marbella for golf, it's easy to get around, and although parking can be difficult, I hope there will be more spaces by summer. On my next visit, I'm sure I'll see the same places and even more!

I love Maitencillo for vacations; I've been going there...

I love Maitencillo for vacations; I've been going there since I was a child. It has many beaches, long and varied, so you can choose the one you like best, and several offer activities (surfing lessons, kayaking, etc.). It has plenty of shops (supermarkets, restaurants, markets) and a lively nightlife. There are several hiking trails if you enjoy trekking.

Wide, uncrowded beaches with white sand, very peaceful, safe to swim in, and food available near the beach. There are many recreational activities such as surfing and paragliding lessons, all within easy reach. The road to get there is excellent.

A huge selection of restaurants, all close together, you don't need a car. Ideal for visiting on less crowded days; I recommend avoiding long weekends and February as it gets very busy everywhere.

Fishing is no longer very common there and fish is brought in from other parts of the country... There is only one street

Large rooms; clean. Nice restaurant with great menu. We had Fillet steak which was good quality. Staff were lovely, especially our breakfast lady. It seemed she was the only one who spoke English too. We were the only people in the hotel for our first night. Night’s 2 & 3 there was a coach tour but they dined in a separate room. So I was half expecting jack Nicholson to appear. It was eerie. Indoor pool is nicely heated but it needs fresh water and a better filter, it was also mouldy with algae in places.

The hotel is nice and the view was amazing since it looked directly into the ocean. The breakfast was ok, but the sweets on the second day were so good.
