Offering standard rates and all-inclusive rates which include full-board, Hotel Río Serrano is in Torres del Paine. There is an on-site restaurant and a garden overlooking the Paine Massif. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We had issues with cancelled flights and lost luggage which required last minute reservation changes and other assistance from the hotel (especially since we did not speak Spanish). The staff went above and beyond to help us get everything resolved and even sent someone 130 km to retrieve our luggage for us. In particular Adriani (manager ?) was very helpful. Also, the restaurant was wonderful both with excellent service, and a new menu each day. We stayed at Rio nearly two weeks and were so spoiled by the chef's preparations !

The park offers great views and walks, as well as other activities. It offers everything you are looking for in Patagonia. Nevertheless I did not expect it that touristic. Many people everywhere and bus loads of people from all over the world. And prices are by far the highest in all over Chile. The hotels in the park are completely overpriced. Absolutely no price/value relation.
My husband and I went to the Torres del Paine National Park in March 2020. It was such a large and wonderful national park! So much to see and experience! We love the six days we spent there. On the first day we went on a 10 hour hiking tour to the three towers. It was raining and took us more than 10 hours round trip, very tiring. The rest of the days are clear, we can see the big horns so clearly from our hotel- Vista the Paine. We then went to the Salto Grande, many mirados near the lake Pehoe and the Glacier Grey. We took many photos. The only negative is that there is no gas station in the park, we nearly ran out of gas on the second day. Fortunately the park ranger helped us to find another hotel where they provided us with 20 litters of gas. I would recommend this part to anyone interested in Patagonia!
My wife and I stayed in the national park for 6 days- the park is huge, a lot of beautiful viewpoints including the Salto Grande, and big horns and the three towers /Torres del Paine. But the roads in the park are all gravel roads very bumpy and hard to drive on. You cannot drive fast and it consumes a lot of gasoline. There is no gas station in the park! You 'd better bring extra gas in 20 litter buckets if you plan to stay longer than 1-2 days. We ate at the Pampa restaurant in Rio Serrano village. It is an excellent restaurant! We went on a one-day hike to the Torres del Paine but it was raining. It took us more than ten hours -very long and difficult one, especially when the weather is bad. You'd better be fit and prepared with hiking poles, multi-layers and rain gears.
The park offers incredible outdoor recreation activities and the scenery is stunning. It is a very popular place so expect crowds in the easiest to access areas. If we had more time there, we would have explored some of the less traveled areas of the park.
We visited in January for 8 days. Wonderful view. No food, no gas station within 85 km, no paved roads in the park, leaving dust over everything, probably far more damaging to the environment. Trails are sparse and located in different corners of the huge park. If you do the W, and do it daily without reservation that is 4 separate trails, accessible from 2 different locations. We stayed 8 days and on the last 2 days we were straining to find new trails. We stayed at Rio Sorrano Hotel at one of the southern gates in a beautiful but overpriced hotel. Visiting Lago Amarga or Lago Azul took 70 km each way. Several tracks, such as Rio Pingo, Mount Ferrier, Lago Grey, Lago Sarmiento, are only with guides and prior booking. Weather is TOTALLY unpredictable, could be sunny, rainy, seriously windy, freezing, foggy, icy, the same afternoon on the same trail. Winds up to 100 km/hour howl making tracking really dangerous. All in all, 4-5 days would have been sufficient. Trails you must do: Lago Grey to glacier, Torres Base Camp, Salto Grande Waterfall, around Lago Pehoe.
Torres del Paine is stunning! We enjoyed all the park had to offer including hikes, boat rides, camping and luxury accommodations at times. The roads are gravel, so expect some slower travel, dust and potholes. It is a bit expensive when in the park. The grey glacier boat ride was a great way to see the glacier and icebergs tho a bit pricey but worth it. We loved taking the boat across Lake Pehoe and hiking the French Valley.
1. The view from the room - AWESOME. 2. The restaurant 3. The staff - most polite, speaks fluent English & very very helpful. 4. Torres del Paine
Highly recommend this accommodation in Torres del Paine! Excellent staff that are very helpful, and there is nothing better than coming back to a warm fireplace after a cold, windy day out in the park. Although there is no heating in the rooms, the blankets are thick and super comfortable so we were nice and warm. It’s very clean, and you’ll be surrounded by horses, cows, chickens and dogs wandering freely outside the house. It’s also one of the more affordable options in the park!
Torres del Paine
Staff was very helpful and attentive. Everything is brand new, spacious and very clean. Wi-fi worked very well, probably the best connection I had around Torres del Paine National Park. It is a very nice location but quite far from other park entrances (you definitely need your own car to get here). Breakfast was fresh and home-made, excellent choice and service.
We stayed in superior room with beauutiful view on glay glacier, it was breathtaking. Everything was perfect, luxurious hotel with nice equipment, really good restaurant and amazing location in heart of the park. One of the very few operating places in the park during winter months, very warm and cosy:)
It's absolutely a treat after a 9-hour hard trekking to the base of Torres del Paine. Room is very comfortable so is the bed. The window is with wonderful view of the snaow-caped mountain.
