There's a variety of hotels (for all tastes). Excellent weather. Friendly people. Good security. The bus terminal lacks good restaurants (and well-known brands like Frisby and PPC, among others).

I loved it; the people are very friendly to tourists, the city is very clean, we felt safe, and the trip to the pools was excellent. The food was good, although a bit pricey, and it was very easy to get around to all the places.

I think the food at the hotel is better because it's economical and well-presented. A good place to visit is the Mirador restaurant on Playa Alta, perfect for a romantic or family dinner. It's easy to get around Melgar while taking safety precautions at night. There are a variety of nightclubs for young people, but choose wisely.

Go to the reptile city area; it's great for biology and nature lovers. On the other hand, keep in mind that during peak season, the restaurants don't have very good service. You'll literally find the best service at the cholado stands and other nearby restaurants in many ways.

This hotel is centrally located and the amenities are good. There was a pool and spa at our hotel, Kualamana, and the equivalent of a full water park near the entrance of the property. The rooms were clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. With the exception of the front desk staff, who were wildly unhelpful, the staff was polite and helpful.

The staff are amazing - nothing is too much trouble and despite little English google translate does the job! The hotel has a great vibe and the little dog and two cats of the hotel are lovely too! Great gay hotel to relax and take the stress away!
