The hotel location is perfect, just one block off the square, great for catching the Willys to Cocora Valley.
We’ll come back to Hotel Salento Plaza in a heartbeat.

AustraliaWe loved our stay here! We booked a family room which had a double bed, bunk bed and private bathroom and it was perfect for 3 of us. We ended up staying another night in Salento and luckily were able to extend our stay at CTBH in the same room. Our room included breakfast which was nice and varied, a choice of either choc chip pancakes, French toast or scrambled eggs and toast - all came with fruit. The hostel is definitely on the more boutique end, as it is beautiful and spacious, but still offers social activities and arranges different tours like mountain bike riding and horseback riding. The 24 hour tea and coffee available is amazing, as is how clean the place is kept including communal bathrooms. Our room was cleaned during our stay and we loved the amenities provided in the bathroom. The two huge hostel dogs are also a major positive about this place!
It is further out of Salento than other accommodations, but this means it is more peaceful and quiet, and it is only about a 10-15 minute walk to get to the main square, restaurants and supermarkets

PanamaI really loved the jacuzzi, the included 30 minutes massage was so relaxing, me and my partner got an amazing experience in the hotel, Salento is a pretty good place to visit, and if I come back to Colombia, definitely I will return to Coclí, all the environment was amazing as the staff, and I really enjoyed all the time that I spent in Coclí, was a very intimate time with my partner, and I strongly recommend the author's cocktail

United StatesThe owners were amazing, Andre in particular was great. We had suffered several delays and lost luggage and so we arrived at the property extremely stressed. Andre and the team were very generous with their attention and care. They even followed up with the airline to help trace our bags which we were eventually able to find!!!

Beautiful small town nested in the Coffee growing region. Great location to explore around other towns, and the famous Cocora Valley. I am not sure if Salento or Filandia was used as the inspiration for Encanto (the movie). Calle Real in Salento is full of small arts and crafts stores and plenty of restaurants to choose from. We spent 2 night there and thought it was the right amount of time. We ate dinner at El Patio which had live music, good food and service. Had lunch at Casa Willy’s (jeep) great food and good service too. You can walk around and it is very safe. My only recommendation is try not to drive into Salento at night, very dark, narrow road with tons of sharp curves, this drive at night is only for people experienced in driving in Colombia. It is a great town with a lot of vibrancy and energy! The town itself is quite small, but it offers a lot for a 3-to 4-day stay. Numerous restaurants offer excellent food options. The main square is vibrant at night, and it's worth spending a couple of hours there, soaking in the energy and fun. The main street (Calle Real) has great shopping options for tourists. It also has a couple of places that offer great live music. Mirador and the steps leading to the top offer great views of the mountains and the valley. The town was cute and clean. People were friendly. It’s an easy walking town with fun live music and places to eat and drink. The cócora valley hike is a crazy touristy zoo if you dont go super early. If you like to hike then go counterclockwise and hike up to the hummingbird sanctuary first.
