The beach is incredibly peaceful, pleasant, without noisy tourists, and spacious. It's an atmosphere hard to find on other beaches. We didn't want to leave, and I would return without hesitation. There are many things to do, but being on this beach makes it all worthwhile.

Carillo itself has excellent restaurants and a beautiful beach. Nearby Samara offers a few nice shops, restaurants, bars, and a fantastic beach complete with a surf school, bar, etc. Perfect for a few relaxing days in the sun.

It has everything you need to make your stay the best it can be: three supermarkets, places to buy prepared food, tour and trekking options, and the beaches are nearby if you're walking. It also has a viewpoint for taking great photos and is a very safe place.

Roxana the owner, is a gem ! She helped us with our rental, she accommodated with changes to our reservation, she gave us a ride to discover a hidden gem near her hotel. She and her staff were 10/10 PLUS BONUS points for the succulent steak.house OMG the best meals we had during our entire trip to Costa Rica.

We've had an amazing time here with my wife. The style of the hotel is colonial, the receptionist is super kind an helpful, the food is amazing (the breakfast was included, but we ordered lunch too), and the pool is clean and refreshing. The beach is close, and the center of Carrillo is in a short distance. We want to go back already.

Service was great. Roberto goes out of his way to.make sure you are assisted with what you need. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The view is superb for sunsets. It is also a very close walk to the beach.
