Offering stunning views of the Arenal Volcano and surrounding rainforest, the Hotel Linda Vista features an outdoor pool, a hot tub and lush gardens. Lake Arenal is less than half a mile away. This was such a beautiful hotel on breathtaking property. The gentleman in the evening front desk Bryan/Brian was so helpful and pleasant! He took the time to talk about the must do's and helped us with setting up private drivers/ rental car etc.
Featuring a seasonal outdoor pool surrounded by tropical gardens and restaurant, this hotel is 0.6 mi from Arenal Lake and 3.7 mi from Arenal Volcano National Park. The view is awesome. I recommend the sunset and sunrise from the standard cabañas (better than the suites). The Cabaña No. 6 is the best one!
Located in El Castillo de La Fortuna, 2.7 miles from Sky Adventures Arenal, Cabinas Eco Zoo provides a ticket service and free WiFi. This location was one of our favourites. The volcano was beautiful! Victor Hugo and his family were fantastic. The tour of their reptile center was so informative, and I am so happy this was our first stop on our trip. The knowledge we acquired in the tour, made us aware of what to look out for on our hikes in the rain forest around arenal volcano. Dinners we took at the local restaurant Fusion, excellent civiche. Breakfast on the balcony facing the volcano unforgettable! Thank you so much Victor, Umberto and I will never forget our stay with you!
Arenal Vista Lodge is located in the shores of the Arenal Lake and 0.6 mi from the Serpentarium. It features free Wi-Fi in common areas, a swimming pool and views of the Arenal Volcano. Gorgeous view. Dated hotel but friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Great value. Very close to Sky Adventures, Arenal Obervatory hiking, & the free thermal springs.
Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Spa is located within the Arenal... Excellent facility with magnificent grounds. No TV, which is a plus.

Lake is a must, you can fish, swim and bird watch. Weather can change in a heartbeat so be ready for sun and rain. You might need mosquito repellent and suntan lotion. Food is very good and people are friendly. I felt safe and welcomed, and definitely going back! Enjoy!
We love the horseback ride and the amazing view from the top of the volcano and the peace tranquility of the mountains. There’s a place call Kelly Near. Amazing fresh smoothies and food. Free internet and the owner is from California. So it was really cool.
Hotel is high up in the mountains, and if weather was nice it would have beautiful views. The rooms were clean and showers were hot, but walls paper thin so you could hear everything your neighbors do as if they were in the same room as you. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you don’t mind eating in the hotel it’s ok but hotel is a bit far from everything, and drive is difficult at night so you are isolated and stuck at hotel after 6. During the day location was good for volcano, hanging bridges and horseback riding
To save money, rent a vehicle and it will be worth it in the end and you shall save money on transportation. Having said hat, be aware that GPS does not always work (I’ve been told) and roads are not always marked.
It was raining the whole time, it was difficult to dry clothes. Thermal springs are mostly hotels where u need to pay a lot to enter the thermal baths. It would be nice to be able to have public baths and not so men made, but more in the nature. Whoever we found natural hotsprings.
I loved everything I saw and experienced at Arenal. I stayed within the park boundaries at the Arenal observatory Lodge which is a sprawling and lush green 800+ acres property with multiple trails including the one to Cerro Chato. Great place and views. totally recommend :D
