The staff were so friendly and accommodating! We arrived at 6pm and wanted dinner, and they offered to bring the dinner to our cabin. We loved the rustic atmosphere, with displays of traditional farming tools that the owner family used. Coffee was served with freshly squeezed milk and homemade cheese. The cabins were beautiful with enormous windows that had views of beautiful plants, trees, and flowers.

Rinconcito Lodge features a garden and complimentary WiFi in public areas. The rooms offer a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. They have wooden furniture.

We are looking forward to returning to Rinconcito Lodge! The whole place is comfortable, we liked our junior mountain suite very much, the staff friendly and helpful, food is very good with an easy-going schedule so we only ate two meals a day, perfect for us. The nesting colony of montezuma oropendola birds at the entrance is amazing! Westayed 4 nights And I’m glad we did. This allowed us to rest one day, then took the combo tour on our second day - Horseback ride into the Santa Maria part of the park, wonderful fun and private uncrowded zip line tour with our guides Jose and Ronald, and continued further into the park on horse guided by Terencio who took us deeper into the park eventually on foot to the warm springs river and waited very patiently while we had lunch there and enjoyed the warm waters. he even helped us with the mud. our third day we drove ourselves into the Pailas sector of the park and did our own hiking tour. Rinconcito is a peaceful place with no pressure. as far as we can tell the rooms are all very nice with a range of qualities from smaller rooms close together to the more separate mountain suites that we stayed in. oh a great trail on the property to a waterfall we swam under too.

The beauty of the surroundings, the nice welcome at the reception desk, the email alerting us to sign up for the hot tub time and for dinner. I loved that we could stay on the property for some hours after checkout time which was great for enjoying more of the beauty.

Located in Guayabos, Pochote Lodge has free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Such a nice place and nice people! Owners Pierre and his wife were very nice, Pierre a real gentleman. Most of our interactions were with the property managers, Francisco and Veronica. What can we say?! So warm and so hospitable, so helpful and innumerable laughs with Francisco. We didn't have a car, so Francisco picked us up from and dropped us at Liberia; also provided us with transportation to Rincon de la Vieja NP for 3 days. Francisco was very reliable, always on time and the costs were very reasonable. Large, tasty breakfast (eggs, gallo pinto, sausage and toast) with a pitcher of great fresh mixed fruit juice! Grounds and surroundings were a mix of nice gardens and natural forest - so many Neotropical birds! We definitely hope to be back someday!

Jorge was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. The property was wonderful; the pool / jacuzzi area were great to spend the evening in watching the sun set. And the hiking trails were a fun way to see many local birds (along with a great canine tour guide).

The staff were friendly, accommodating, and seemed happy. The room we stayed in was wonderful, right in nature and by a lake. The pool is lovely and natural without chlorine. The lunch and dinner menus is excellent and all the food was fresh and tasty. I give it 5-stars!

Rosie and Roger made us feel at home in this comfortable B&B in the pretty countryside near the village of Aguas Claras. Very peaceful and quiet during the day, but noisy at night as we fell asleep with a loud chorus of frogs out our window along a rushing mountain stream. Rosie and Roger attended to our every whim. Offering us rubber boots with which to hike their 40 hectare rain forest, etc…

After a month in Costa Rica, this was one of our highlights. It is a beautiful, well kept property. We loved the main eating area and cabins. The chocolate tour was wonderful! We enjoyed the area and walked the trails- lots of birds! Even the gift shop was good - with reasonable prices!

The hot springs were amazing! We were only here for one night, we wish we had time to stay longer. I will definitely be returning here. Wonderful, comfortable accommodations, amazing facilities, fantastic natural surroundings and super friendly staff. What more can you ask for?
