Great place for families with young children because the pool is right by the rooms so you can sit at your table outside (or at the bar, or one of the sun beds...) and keep an eye on them. If kids aren't your thing there's also a second, more quiet pool. The rooms are new and sparkling clean, it's in a great location - very quiet with loads of birds and iguanas - and the staff are all very friendly. Good breakfast too. Las Brisas was above and beyond what we were expecting for the price!

I go there to do dental work at Crystal Dental, as their prices are 2-3 times cheaper than in the USA and the quality is better, they speak English and have German equipment. I do not care about touristy stuff, I did it on my first visit many years ago. You can take buses for daytrips. Tours with agencies are very expensive and geared for young athletic people. I wish there was a sightseeing tour for the whole day on a bus to take pictures without any hiking or horse-riding.

Jaco is fine, the beach at playa blanca is the best in the area. But you have to access it by going to the other beach and walking up the hill past the public parking or to tbe beach and then left down to the curve and then over the small hill.

During the last Costa Rican rainy season, the beach was ravaged by strong storms. a large portion of sand was washed away leaving exposed rock over much of the beach. My photos reveal that about four feet of sand was washed away. My time there was a bit disappointing, but I believe nature or people will restore the beach to its former glory.

Good lunch special at the Japanese Restaraunt next to the bus station.
The sewage and grey water from the town run into a creek next to the resort which flows into the Ocean so you are swimming in your own 'stew'.

The apartment is well appointed with everything you could need and simple easy to understand check in instructions

Jaco by itself is a nice place for vacationing.
Jaco by itself is a nice place for vacationing. The beach is good and a lot of beaches nearby. Its proximity to Manuel Antonio and other places in the north are a big plus. The downtown is buzzing with lot of restaurants and ice cream shops. We walked along the downtown in the evening.

The location in Jaco was excellent. We could walk to the beach, stores, and restaurants. It was a nice, safe, gated community with a mix of Costa Rican families who came for the weekend and vacationers like us. Some vacationers from Canada and the US stayed for a month or more and returned each year. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The properties and grounds were exceptionally well maintained. Husband enjoyed surfing lessons with Tico! Great experience overall.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable apartment with everything you need, with a sea view. The owners are very friendly, kind people, they provided us with a lot of information. All the facilites of the Hotel are available, very good pool, delicious food, friendly prices. The ocean beach is clean and beautiful, the city is also within walking distance. One of the best accomodations, we had in Costa Rica! Thank you Dorel and Carmen!

As a local , this is my favorite hotel in Costa Rica...I had never paid attention to it because of the location, but once I made a reservation I havent stopped going, and everytime someone from abroad visits, I take them there. It is always AMAZING!

Hotel, bar/restaurant and pool is right on the beach at the very south end of Jaco beach, less crowded than the main beach. Room was large and comfortable and had coffee machine. The included tico breakfast was great.
