The property was beautiful! The room was spacious and clean. I loved the atmosphere and the nice pool. It was very quiet which was very much needed after a week in Tamarindo. Perfect way to finish my trip to Costa Rica. The food at the restaurant on property was also very good. The staff was amazing, especially Luis!

We are looking forward to returning to Rinconcito Lodge! The whole place is comfortable, we liked our junior mountain suite very much, the staff friendly and helpful, food is very good with an easy-going schedule so we only ate two meals a day, perfect for us. The nesting colony of montezuma oropendola birds at the entrance is amazing! Westayed 4 nights And I’m glad we did. This allowed us to rest one day, then took the combo tour on our second day - Horseback ride into the Santa Maria part of the park, wonderful fun and private uncrowded zip line tour with our guides Jose and Ronald, and continued further into the park on horse guided by Terencio who took us deeper into the park eventually on foot to the warm springs river and waited very patiently while we had lunch there and enjoyed the warm waters. he even helped us with the mud. our third day we drove ourselves into the Pailas sector of the park and did our own hiking tour. Rinconcito is a peaceful place with no pressure. as far as we can tell the rooms are all very nice with a range of qualities from smaller rooms close together to the more separate mountain suites that we stayed in. oh a great trail on the property to a waterfall we swam under too.

DONT go to Tamarindo - was there 5 years ago and now it’s called Tamagringo - everything was expensive and VERY touristy. We got ripped off a lot .. Still some nice unspoiled parts of Liberia if you stay off the beaten track .

Costa Rica is wonderful and the central park in Liberia was a really nice place to stop and have lunch. The park has a statue commemorating the actions of Juan Santamaria, Costa Rica's national hero. It is a great story detailing human courage and how important one man can be in the greater scheme of things.

It´s a well developed city at the heart of Guanacaste.

It´s a well developed city at the heart of Guanacaste. You can find all the main businesses and stores in the country. It´s also conveniently located near the main tourist attractions like Rincon de la Vieja national park, La Leona waterfall hike, Santa Rosa National Park and the Papagayo peninsula beaches among others.

I used Liberia as a transfer point to get into southern...

I used Liberia as a transfer point to get into southern Nicaragua. It was a far better option for me than flying into Managua. Liberia was great for that reason. I did not explore beyond the Liberia hotel location. I thought that my hotel was pricey for what I got-- $80 for a 3 star average hotel. HOWEVER, the hotels out by the airport are as expensive ($150-170 U.S.) as a San Francisco airport hotel. There is a shuttle charge of about $30 to get from Liberia to hotel (about 9 miles). Take a Uber for $11 U.S. and they drop you a few hundred yards from airport. I know that people need to make money, but I have a budget too--Uber was the way to go. I hear that Uber is not legal, but it worked for me.

Fine for a night as you transit through Liberia. Easy walk to town. Aircon. Wifi. Great location. We dropped a hire car at airport and Ubered back to town (3000colones) and then walked to Ticabus stop (20mins easy walk) the following morning. Nice bars and cafes near the servo on the corner nearby…

The Tipico breakfast was good. Nice large pool with a waterfall. A shallow children pool and play area. There are several peacocks that roam the grounds. Beside the hotel is a shopping mall with grocery store and bank. About a 20 minute drive to Liberia airport.

I liked the location of the hotel, had restaurants, main hospital all near it. The room sizes was quite spacious. Very outstanding staff at the reception, Harlem was very respectful. Enjoyed my time at Javy.
