We needed to stay one night in a hotel not too far from the Liberia airport. This hotel had everything we needed; from a really nice staff, very helpful with our requests for our baby, to clean and comfortable rooms, and an amazing breakfast, it was perfect for the price.

This lodge was my favorite stay during the entire trip I was in Costa Rica. I love the rooms with the hammocks on the balcony. The food was good for the price and the staff were excellent. I also loved our excursion with the horses. I highly recommend this to anyone.

the room is so neat and organized, service at restaurant is excellent .the guys are doing amazing job to satisfy the guests. i loved the food and natural juice , for the facilities , they are pretty maintenance ,and hot springs were our top priority. water is hot and natural, in addition, the girl who helps with tour is really helpful and knowledgeable about the area , she can help even if you are not taking a ride with a resort.i will definitely come back one day to enjoy this experience. last but not least the security guys are responsive.

DONT go to Tamarindo - was there 5 years ago and now it’s called Tamagringo - everything was expensive and VERY touristy. We got ripped off a lot .. Still some nice unspoiled parts of Liberia if you stay off the beaten track .

Costa Rica is wonderful and the central park in Liberia was...

Costa Rica is wonderful and the central park in Liberia was a really nice place to stop and have lunch. The park has a statue commemorating the actions of Juan Santamaria, Costa Rica's national hero. It is a great story detailing human courage and how important one man can be in the greater scheme of things.

It´s a well developed city at the heart of Guanacaste.

It´s a well developed city at the heart of Guanacaste. You can find all the main businesses and stores in the country. It´s also conveniently located near the main tourist attractions like Rincon de la Vieja national park, La Leona waterfall hike, Santa Rosa National Park and the Papagayo peninsula beaches among others.

I used Liberia as a transfer point to get into southern Nicaragua. It was a far better option for me than flying into Managua. Liberia was great for that reason. I did not explore beyond the Liberia hotel location. I thought that my hotel was pricey for what I got-- $80 for a 3 star average hotel. HOWEVER, the hotels out by the airport are as expensive ($150-170 U.S.) as a San Francisco airport hotel. There is a shuttle charge of about $30 to get from Liberia to hotel (about 9 miles). Take a Uber for $11 U.S. and they drop you a few hundred yards from airport. I know that people need to make money, but I have a budget too--Uber was the way to go. I hear that Uber is not legal, but it worked for me.

Beautiful country and lovely outdoors especially if you are into wildlife and water sports. it rained most of my stay, which was a negative for me but overall - the very friendly people made it all worthwhile!

We hiked to all of the waterfalls and visited the hot springs and mud baths. There were many other more adventurous activities available too. Was a beautiful few days away from the beach and very conveniently locate less than an hour from Liberia Airport. We ate at all of the restaurants. The service and food was very good. Excellent choices for vegetarians and some vegan options too.

Not crazy about the location but it is an airport hotel so it’s close to the airport with no amenities outside the hotel. Restaurant staff was not fluent in English so some food orders were mixed up, but they were extremely friendly and kind. Service was good, room was huge and shuttle to the airport was efficient and friendly.
