Located in Orosí, Montaña Linda Guest House Orosi features a garden and a shared lounge and shared kitchen. The accommodations features free WiFi and free enclosed parking. We really enjoyed visiting with the host and her recommendations for the area. Kitchen was well equipped and the room was nice. Beautiful view from the balcony in the morning.
Chalet Orosi is located in Paraíso and offers fully equipped kitchens and free continental breakfast. The chalet was very clean and comfortable and the view was great. We were surrounded by their well-kept gardens and we could see the beautiful mountains surrounding us.
Casa Sofia, a Gem Close to Orosi Thermal Pools! is set in Cartago, 24 mi from Irazú Volcano and 5 mi from Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed. Cosa Sofia is beautiful!! It is spacious with huge windows and the views are gorgeous! It is even more spectacular than the photos suggest. The kitchen is equipped for everything and even has a dishwasher. There is a washer/dryer available also. The beds were super comfortable with plenty of pillows and linens. Taking a shower in the "atrium shower" was pure luxury. There are plenty of places to roam around on this coffee plantation and there is a binder full of information and ideas of things to do in the area. The place was spotlessly clean and the owner provided every amenity imaginable! Perfect place to literally get away from everything.
Located in Orosí, 29 mi from Heredia, Villas Orosi Valley provides an outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi. A à la carte breakfast is available daily at the bed and breakfast. Nice place to stay in the center of the small town of Orosi, close to restaurants (walking distance). Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice rooms.
Located in Orosí in the Cartago region, Casa Bartzis, Close to Orosi and Tapanti National Park has a patio and garden views. This house is a real pearl. It's tastefully decorated, comfortable, clean and has everything you could possibly need. Besides it has the most amazing mountains view you can enjoy through an amazingly giant window. Spend chilly nights reading on the couch or eat breakfast on the soaked in the morning sun porch, and you will live tranquillity. We loved this house so much we didn't feel like exploring the area, except for the Lancaster botanical garden which was really nice. The kids enjoyed the green spaces, the horses and especially the cat and dogs which said hi from time to time. They also discovered how coffee grows as the house is surrounded by a such plantation. The caretakers are really sweet and helpful so we felt really welcomed. We even drank the water from the tap, as we don't like buying plastic, and we were fine.
Orosí is just magical. One of the oldest and best preserved churches in the country is located there. The whole town is like a fairytale, surrounded by mountains it can be anything you imagine it to be. Walk around and ask the locals for those special spots that make places memorable. That's how we found the hanging bridge over the Reventazón river.
We went to Tapanti National Park and it was amazing! Underrated National Park with a beautiful river and amazing hikes! We were completely alone in the park and enjoyed every minute!! Orosi is a typical little town in costa rica.
Orosi is in a beautiful valley, which deserves to be much better known. The village is home to the church of San Jose, which is the oldest church in Costa Rica still in regular use. When you are in the village, you have a wonderful view of Irazu volcano (at least when the weather is good), and Orosi is an excellent base for travelling to the top of the volcano. In addition, you are not far from the little village of Ujarras, where you can see the atmospheric ruins of another Spanish colonial church. We stayed in Orosi only for two nights, and that was much too short - we could happily have stayed for another two.
Orosi has a lot to offer...sort of a sampling of all that is Costa Rica, except the beach: coffee, coffee tours, thermal waters, close to Volcan Irazu, Tapanti National Park, Historic Church and museum, beautiful river, colorful plants, great bike riding and nice people!
Points to visit from here, Guayabo National Monument, Cachi Water Dam, Orosi colonial Church and museum, Ujarras Church ruins, Orosi and Ujarras lookout points, Irazu Volcano, thermal waters and more..
Very comfortable, scenic and well run establishment. The town of Orosi is perfect. Lots of amenities and close to fantastic national parks and central to many other top destinations. The owners are very helpful and their breakfast is excellent. A great base for Central Valley Costa Rica.
The chalet was very clean and comfortable and the view was great. We were surrounded by their well-kept gardens and we could see the beautiful mountains surrounding us.
The hotel is beautifully decorated, with eye for detail. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast.
