This is basically a cruse ship harbor and not much to do in low season. A few bars and stores open. A lot of tour is not given due to no crusie ship arriving in this time of the year. Also, extreme weather resultet in that most tours from Puntarenas was cancelled. If you are planning a vaccation, you should choose another city such as Jaco or Uvita. Very easy to take a 2-3 hour bus shuttle from San Jose, terminal 7-10 for a few dollars.Guest review byKristofferCosta Rica - 2.0

While the hotel and staff were lovely and helpful the common verandah didn't allow for much privacy. The hotel was also at least 5kms from the rest of the town with no shops or restaurants nearby, so a little isolated.
