I booked my stay last minute (about an hour before I arrived) and it was the best decision! I was pleasantly surprised to find they had only been open for a month. The resort and rooms were beautiful and spotless. Every staff member was friendly and genuinely wanted to ensure a lovely stay. Waking up in the beautiful environment and being able to have deliciously roasted coffee each morning was just what I needed for the tail end of my trip. Management went above and beyond in every way. They even made accommodations for me to get my much needed caffeine when I had to leave for a snorkeling trip before the cafe opened. They arranged for my lattes to kept in the cooler and made the 24 hr security guard aware, so I could just grab them, add ice, and head to my excursion! Jonathan and Lucia made the best lattes and provided exceptional service. I can’t recall everyone else’s names but they were all wonderful and kind. Then there’s the restaurant. Every single dish I ordered was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, flavored to perfection, the portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful! The owner should be very proud of his staff. I’m so glad I made the decision to stay with them. It was truly a lovely experience and a pleasure to have met the wonderful people who made the experience even better! Thank you all for making me feel so welcome!

We felt right at home at this fun and unique family hotel. There is so much do to both at the hotel and around the area of Quepos. This place is perfect for travellers wanting a funky, playful, and relaxing experience. Staff helped us arrange for tours to Manuel Antonio park easily. Breakfast in the morning was always amazing and is vegetarian friendly. Hotel also has laundry services! Highly recommend Villas Jaquelina!

You won’t regret staying here - it is a magical location in the jungle with a stunning pool and gracious hosts. We were welcomed by the owner and had a delightful cottage with our own terrace. The pool has the most incredible views. There are no bugs in the evenings so you can sit outside and enjoy the jungle noises. You are able to book dinner which was delicious and would recommend. The work and effort that goes into this place is amazing. There are a number of walking trails which we enjoyed including a swim in the river. This is a very special place to stay. Oh you get nice white cotton sheets and great towels!!

Quepos itself is a little rough, but Manuel Antonio is a gem. Be wary of all the hustlers on the beach. Would have liked to go fishing but the prices for charters were steep. Great eateries. I forgot the name but the seafood restaurant before the bridge into town was excellent.

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all...

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

Nice Hostel - clean, spacious with many chill areas, a beautiful yoga / workout area and a well equipped kitchen. The host and the staff are very friendly and supportive, giving you many insights about the surroundings and activities. The hostel provides a well-informed online travel guide that helps you organise your stay. We really enjoyed having breakfast on the beautiful terrace. So far Villas Jaquelina was the best stay in Costa Rica. 100% recommended!

The best view I ever had from my room. Beautiful modern hotel, very nice breakfast, tucans and macaws were coming to sit on the trees in front of us during breakfast. The only thing I can complain about is the very steep and narrow road uphill, but that's true about many roads in Costa Rica Overall - amazing stay!

The hotel is located on the main road of Manuel Antonio c. 10mins drive to the beach and national park. The hotel staff is very friendly and for breakfast you could choose one out of three options. The rooms are clean and has everything you need. Very nice place for a good price!

The room is spacious and you have everything you need, they have air conditioning and hot water - which you don’t get everywhere in Costa Rica for the same price. Especially the use of laundry is very helpful if you are travelling around. The owner is very nice and helpful.
