Really nice new hotel in an incredible unique location at the top of a mountain near Manuel Antonio. It is inside the Mountain Top Nature Park and so has access to the hanging bridges, nature trails etc in the park that external guests have to pay for (the night walks, ziplines still have to be paid for though). The hotel has a nice restaurant with stunning view at the very top of the mountain (either take the hanging bridges to get there or walk up a steep paved road). Lots of wildlife nearby - we saw Capuchin and white faced monkeys and a Sloth in the 3 days we were there. We spoke to the owner who explained future plans for the hotel and it sounds like it will get even better in future. Note: if you get a massage (recommended!) the spa is located next to the restaurant/bar at the top of the mountain, not where Google says it is.

I booked my stay last minute (about an hour before I arrived) and it was the best decision! I was pleasantly surprised to find they had only been open for a month. The resort and rooms were beautiful and spotless. Every staff member was friendly and genuinely wanted to ensure a lovely stay. Waking up in the beautiful environment and being able to have deliciously roasted coffee each morning was just what I needed for the tail end of my trip. Management went above and beyond in every way. They even made accommodations for me to get my much needed caffeine when I had to leave for a snorkeling trip before the cafe opened. They arranged for my lattes to kept in the cooler and made the 24 hr security guard aware, so I could just grab them, add ice, and head to my excursion! Jonathan and Lucia made the best lattes and provided exceptional service. I can’t recall everyone else’s names but they were all wonderful and kind. Then there’s the restaurant. Every single dish I ordered was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, flavored to perfection, the portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful! The owner should be very proud of his staff. I’m so glad I made the decision to stay with them. It was truly a lovely experience and a pleasure to have met the wonderful people who made the experience even better! Thank you all for making me feel so welcome!

Amazing property. Markus has built an awesome place to visit and enjoy just outside of Quepos. Our house, the San Antonio 2 bedroom, was a little rustic but very comfy. Nice beds, nice shower, plenty of room. However the room isn't the point of this property - it's the land. The private jungle and trails are just as nice as the national parks, but much less crowded. We saw an incredible number of frogs, including poison dart frogs, Toucans, birds, huge spiders, and even a Neotropical river Otter - which Markus hadn't even seen before! The trails are quite well maintained and well marked. The river and trees are amazing as well. The pool is also spectacular - our kids loved it. The Cabana next to the pool was a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast as well. They even provide some food such as bananas and mangos grown right on the farm! Markus clearly loves the land and the property, and has put a ton of effort into creating a beautiful place to visit - he was also a great host. Happily answering our many questions and providing information about the different species of animals around. A really, really unique gem that my whole family enjoyed. Do yourself a favor and book this hotel.

Quepos itself is a little rough, but Manuel Antonio is a gem. Be wary of all the hustlers on the beach. Would have liked to go fishing but the prices for charters were steep. Great eateries. I forgot the name but the seafood restaurant before the bridge into town was excellent.

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all...

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

A ten out of ten, this is absolutely the best place I have stayed in Quepos. A safe location, a pretty courtyard garden overlooking a play park, the pictures of my studio were exact and inside was everything I needed. The bed was good, the sheets and towels pristine, the kitchen well thought out with kettle and coffee machine and the rest, the internet solid and the aircon effective...and all this at a budget price and just a few minutes away from the bus station. I will definitely return!

Simply outstanding. Brilliant host. Fresh cooked undercover breakfast by the pool each day. Great walking trails to rivers and waterfalls which you can swim in. Full of wildlife. Home cooked dinner a few evenings. About 30 minutes from Quepos and 20 minutes from Damas island / mangrove tours. A unique place to stay.

Just awesome, Roberto and the 2 ladies running the hotel were all charming - super hospitable and very helpful in all respects. Great room, with en-suite and AC for a very reasonable price and only a couple of minutes from the centre of Quepos. Couldn’t recommend it enough, perfect stay🙏😀🍻👍🏻

First place in Costa Rica where you have all the detailes set. Hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel, tea, cofee, sugar, all kitchen things, king size bed, tours information, everything. Soon AC will be instalted. Realy amazing place.
