United StatesI booked my stay last minute (about an hour before I arrived) and it was the best decision! I was pleasantly surprised to find they had only been open for a month. The resort and rooms were beautiful and spotless. Every staff member was friendly and genuinely wanted to ensure a lovely stay. Waking up in the beautiful environment and being able to have deliciously roasted coffee each morning was just what I needed for the tail end of my trip.
Management went above and beyond in every way. They even made accommodations for me to get my much needed caffeine when I had to leave for a snorkeling trip before the cafe opened. They arranged for my lattes to kept in the cooler and made the 24 hr security guard aware, so I could just grab them, add ice, and head to my excursion!
Jonathan and Lucia made the best lattes and provided exceptional service. I can’t recall everyone else’s names but they were all wonderful and kind.
Then there’s the restaurant. Every single dish I ordered was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, flavored to perfection, the portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful! The owner should be very proud of his staff.
I’m so glad I made the decision to stay with them. It was truly a lovely experience and a pleasure to have met the wonderful people who made the experience even better!

CanadaWe felt right at home at this fun and unique family hotel. There is so much do to both at the hotel and around the area of Quepos. This place is perfect for travellers wanting a funky, playful, and relaxing experience. Staff helped us arrange for tours to Manuel Antonio park easily. Breakfast in the morning was always amazing and is vegetarian friendly. Hotel also has laundry services! Highly recommend Villas Jaquelina!

BelgiumWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our cottage was simple but well-equipped with everything we needed, including air conditioning, and we slept very comfortably. We appreciated having a small kitchen, which made it easy to prepare simple meals for the kids. The owner, Markus, was incredibly friendly and helpful. One of our favorite parts was being able to enjoy dinner by the pool. The pool itself was beautiful, refreshing, and set in a perfect location. The hacienda is very well maintained, with several easy and fun trails where you can spot plenty of wildlife. Our kids especially loved the farm animals: three friendly dogs, two cats, five horses, and free-roaming chickens that wander around the property. We also booked a horseback riding experience, which was fantastic. Markus took us to a waterfall where we could swim — it was the biggest highlight for the kids! We highly recommend staying here and would definitely love to come back.

Quepos itself is a little rough, but Manuel Antonio is a gem. Be wary of all the hustlers on the beach. Would have liked to go fishing but the prices for charters were steep. Great eateries. I forgot the name but the seafood restaurant before the bridge into town was excellent.

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all...
Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend.
We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

We felt like staying at our friends. It’s a big space with really everything you might need.
Like in all Costa Rica, it is recommended to have a car, but if you like walking, you will mange - we did, our friendly taxi driver was driving us around.
It’s 15 minutes drive to the Manuel Antonio park and 20 minutes walk to great restaurants.
Surrounding area is so beautiful, very well kept garden and different animals.
Great shower, living room, comfy bed, fast WiFi, Netflix

The hosts were amazing, they helped us plan our trip in Costa Rica and we had a great time together talking. They helped us see what we came to see, even though the national park Manuel Antonio was closed. Great people with big hearts.
The accomodation was much much better than what we saw for the same price elsewhere in CR, clean and very nicely decorated. So altogether very very good for so little money.
