United StatesWalking the paths and enjoying the calmness was nice. The whole property is well maintained and it's obvious they take pride in taking care while keeping the rustic nature. We didn't visit the pool or game room, but could see people enjoying it a lot. It was the end of our 3 weeks of visiting CR and loved Uvita the most. The room we had was comfortable, clean and had well stocked kitchen. Big refrigerator. No safe. The deck surrounded 2 sides and was very private and nice to sit and chill. The owner made us feel very welcome and it made our stay seem more personal than the normal hotel

Private parking behind the gate is included.
Exceptional customer service! Our flight was canceled and rebooked two days later. Even though we pre-booked the apartment, the staff/owner was very understanding and adjusted the booking to save us paying for those two nights. I have never experienced such a great customer service! Response via the app chat was very quickly everytime.
All in all a great place to stay, would definitely recommend it!

United KingdomI couldn't be happier with my stay at Cabinas D'Val! Perfectly located in Bahia close to the entrance to the national park, it's a beautiful property true to the pictures. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped with everything you might need (The beds are particularly comfortable!). The common areas are also very well designed and a perfect place to relax at any point during the day. I would highly recommend to anyone stopping in Uvita, including solo-travelers. As a bonus, Scott is a wonderful and gracious host! He immediately made me feel welcome and provided several great recommendations for the trip. Wish I could have stayed longer, but will certainly be back on my next trip! Thank you again, Scott!

The location is within 5 minutes to the bus station, bank and the shops.
A little walk to the beach but it's a really nice and safe area. I really loved the outdoor shower option.

Hermosa Beach is beautiful.
Hermosa Beach is beautiful. You have to pay a small entrance fee, but it’s clean and you can walk to the whales tail. There are bars and restaurants to walk to with a good choice of cuisine. Plenty of supermarkets and fruit shops.

Preferably visit on the whale watching season, and reserve a tour days before so you not lose the chance of this lovely experience, I recommend Bahía Ballena Kayaks & Tours. Beach is beautiful and relaxing, check the tide hours son you can walk to Whale's tale in low tide, and also have like 200 meters of beach to enjoy

Uvita is a great spot for families, not as crowded as Dominical, with plenty of good places to eat. However, some restaurants can be pricey and not worth it. The sea had strong currents, making it dangerous, but there was still plenty of space on the beach

My stay in Uvita was wonderful because it was October and very quiet. I was lucky to have no rain most days and explored all around the area. I loved playa Hermosa and Bahia Ballena. Both places you can walk see endless beach that's almost all to yourself during the fall.

I went to Uvita in Sep because I wanted to see the whale. While some other boats did, we didn't get that close to the whale, so the experience was not ideal for me. However, it is an excellent place for surfing, and the tide is perfect.

We really liked our stay here as it was just super nice, modern, clean and nicely decorated. The pool area is beautiful with lots of plants surrounding it. Our downstairs room had a little outside sitting area surrounded by palms for privacy. There are 2 nice dogs which would give us company. It was a very relaxing stay. There are a couple of restaurants close by but it's easier to drive to the main road or the beach side of Uvita. The area of the hotel seems to mainly be new houses and is still quite small but therefore quiet.

When we left, we wished we had booked more than one night so we could enjoy the place even more. The host is really friendly and helpful, and the room is very comfortable. The hotel is real close to AMAZING beaches & good restaurants, and the vibe around there is super chill. We spent only 1 night in Uvita but we think 2 would have been nicer so you can visit the park Marino Ballena, go on a snorkelling tour, enjoy the sunset at the beach and visit a nearby Cascade (which is a medium 3+ hours hike).

One of the best places we stayed in Costa Rica, and for a very reasonable price. Everything was clean, with hot water available. The host family was super nice — the young owner was very kind and always around whenever we needed help. You can observe many kinds of birds on their property; almost every day a pair of large red guacamayo parrots came to have their snack in the big tree at the entrance. We truly felt at home. Highly recommended!

Everything! Beautiful little house and lot of privacy. Well decorated and super comfortable. Claudio is super welcoming and will share tips if you need anything. Located close to supermarkets and tours it has everything for a great time in Uvita. One of the best place u have ever stayed !!

Honestly this is the best hostel in Uvita. Its location, friendliness, comfortable bed and enough space in the room. It’s surrounded by green, nice chill vibe to hang out. Excellent value for a very friendly price. The name of the hostel “Luminosa” is true!
