Finikoudes Beach is a very good choice for people who don't like crowded beaches. It's a large, sandy beach, with very good, warm water (in July).
Saint Lazarus Church is to be visited.
Buses almost every half an hour to Ayia Napa (from the bus station close to the beach).

Larnaka is a really beautiful city that is excellent for a short beach vacation, as well as a great base to explore the rest of Cyprus and its various gems. We would definitely recommend renting a car if possible, as public transport is extremely limited, as well taxis being virtually non existent from the evening onwards.

The best thing about Larnaca, apart from its beauty and the beauty of its sea, is the fact that there is an airport, so no long ride in the heat after arrival, and that there works Bolt - so if you dont want to negotiate with local taxi drivers, you dont have to. Sea is super clean, perfect for both baby children and adult swimmers, beach is well equipped with showers and toilets, prices for sunbeds and parasols are fixed, beach vendors non-existent.

Nice place in general.
Nice place in general. Cool restaurants and bars can be found all over. On the negative side it was extremely hot and it is a very pedestrian unfriendly city. The traffic lights are designed to give priority to cars, while pedestrians have to stay in the sun waiting and when it turns green for pedestrians you have only 8seconds to cross any avenue! This is the default setting in all traffic lights for pedestrians. Get ready to run!

Larnaka is a large town with a main airport nearby
Very nice and modern by the beach and there is a lot of modernisation and improvement going on. Some parts away from the sea front are in need of upgrading. It is a working town rather than a seaside resort.
Loads of bars and restaurants
It is pleasant to stroll round the old town and visit the old castle and the beautiful main church.
There is a long sandy beach but Mackenzie Beach 20 -30 min walk is nicer
There is not a lot to in the town itself other than visit the beach but we found plenty to do by going further afield
Mackenzie beach which is a bit of a walk away (or taxi 10 euros) has a much more relaxed and classy feel with soft sand , shallow water and lots of nice bars and cafes
The bus service is much better than expected and goes to all major destinations on a regular basis. Only around 4euros per person to go on an hour or so's journey is great value. The inter city start and finish stop is on the sea front road near the marina
We went to Nicosia (well worth a visit - get off at last stop) and
Nissi beach (50mins) is stunning but can get crowded
You can also get the 'Love Bus' an open top tour bus which goes to sights outside of Larnaca town which are hard to get to including the salt lake Angeloktisti Church and Mosque. It stops off for visits to these places. It does cost 20 euros per person though
We really enjoyed the 'Yellow Submarine' boat, which has a glass viewing area at the bottom, for a sunset tour to see a wreck and fish swimming. Great views of the sunset and planes going right overhead and landing at the airport if you are into that!
Lebay is a very very good hotel. I have stayed 3 nights there and the stay was perfect. Beautiful comfortable room. Facing the sea. Beautiful stretch of a beach just in front of your eyes. It is a 3 stars hotel and I have seen 5 star hotels in Cyprus that don't come close. And I know as I lead groups in Cyprus. The hotel is modern yet cosy. Breakfast is excellent. The price is a bargain. Bus 425 takes you every 20 min. To larnaca center for 2 euro. A ride os 15 min. Super hotel. Don't think twice.
Great location - not far from Larnaca Airport. Hotel looks amazing - inside and out. Poolside was lovely as was the beachside bar and the sun-lounge area by the beach. Breakfast was of high standard and plentiful. All the staff were courteous and helpful
A selection of nearby restaurants and supermarkets made for convenience shopping
The best 3 stars hotel I have been ever! Clean as hospital, super comfy, close to one of the best beaches of Larnaca region, perfectly connect by public transport with Larnaca city centre, all that with quite reasonable price.
it's on the boardwalk of Larnaca. close to best Pubs, resturants and Tavernas. Very good beach is right in front of the hotel. the breakfast is untill 17:00, the team is very kind and polite
