AustraliaWe had a very nice time staying here - the managers and staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the place was very comfortable and offered an excellent value. We used it as a base for attending the Wine harvest festival in Znojmo and it was fine getting there and back with local bus service provided and bus stop right outside. We also enjoyed visiting the castle just a short walk away and all in all we had a very nice time.

Bítov is a small village near the dam. Bítov Castle is 3 km away, you can go from the village of Bítov with a pleasant walk through the forest to the castle, you can also go by car or sail by boat from the Bítov camp pier to the castle. About 2 km away are the ruins of Cornštejn Castle, which are also worth a visit.

Quiet place without a lot of tourists, close to Bítov and Cornštejn castles, several viewpoints, about 1 km to the beach and the pier, starting point for many trips. Close to Austria and Vranov nad Dyjí. We ate at the local brewery, good food and great beer. There is a Coop store in the place. Super cafe Kafe v obyvaku. Good bus service from Vranov.

An ideal location for outdoor recreation and tourism.
An ideal location for outdoor recreation and tourism. Hiking trips around the area (to the Bítov and Cornštejn castles) can be combined with visits to nearby historical monuments (Vranov n. D., Jemnice, Jevišovice, Znojmo). Hotel Bítov has been in service for many years, but its location, equipment and quality of service will satisfy even the most demanding visitors.

A good starting point for cycling trips around the Vranov...
A good starting point for cycling trips around the Vranov dam, Bítov castle and Cornštejn, you can also cover the entire Podyjí National Park. However, the location is located higher from the water - swimming is further away. Excellent beer and food at the U Tesařů restaurant.

The staff is great.
The staff is great. The food at Panelovka is good and the portions are large. The surrounding nature is great. The cleanliness is excellent. The cottages need renovation, especially the floors on the veranda. Every step was so loud that it ruined our whole vacation.

Breakfasts were really yummy. A good selection of various flavours of cheese, eggs, sausages, ham and what not.
If you don`t feel like trying the River Dyja for swimming, you can use the hotel pool. Very nice, indeed.
try Zmojno beer which is available in the hotel. I loved it.

I like these retro hotels. You can skip back to 70s-80s. Despite older furniture etc (but it belongs to this style) it was clean and worked good.
