A cozy town, with a good atmosphere and friendly people. There are still plenty of cheap places to shop (unlike in Poland). There's a great ice cream shop in the market square. Getting around town (on foot) is very easy. There are many one-way roads, making parking difficult.

The Czech town of Cieszyn itself isn't very attractive, but Poland is just a stone's throw away, offering plenty to see. The Palermo restaurant offers excellent food in generous portions. Accommodation at the Relax Apartment on the Czech side of Cieszyn isn't the most luxurious, but it's definitely worth the money. A wonderful owner, excellent communication, and a private jacuzzi and sauna are available. I highly recommend it.

The room needs a complete renovation; the windows are very old and practically don't close properly, all the furniture is very old, but the mattresses on the bed are comfortable. The bathroom needs renovating, and the price doesn't reflect the condition of the hotel.

The city is generally not nice, dirty. I recommend moving to the Polish side and even staying on the Polish side. Last year we lived in Cieszyn and were satisfied. This year's overnight stay on the Czech side was not a good choice...
