We’ve been several times before and hope to go again! It is very atmospheric for a town centre stroll, is a good centre for travelling around on foot or by public transport and has lots of bars and restaurants. And the sun always seems to be shining.
Beautiful city with parks, historic landmarks, coffees, nice restaurants... Convenient for families and couples. Great for biking. Austria just few steps from there and additional places of interest like Červená Lhota castle not far from here. We really enjoyed "Cafe y Bar Junto a la Palmera" and "Cukrárna u Doskočilů" on main square "náměstí Míru".
Very nice historical city with large area of well preserved traditional architecture. The castle and its water mirror in surrounding lake are exceptional to see. Be prepared that in non-high season (winter time) you will not find too many open cafes, bars and restaurants. On the other hand - you will not be drown in the sea of tourists.
Historic and atmospheric town with stunning views and excellent walks or bike trips. The town has two squares connected by a pleasant high street. Plenty of options for lunch or a coffee. The castle and chateau are well preserved and make for an interesting visit. Located on the Vltava river, the town is peaceful and charming.
A typical pictoresque South Bohemian small town with renaissance and baroque houses, lovely main square, gothic church and a castle. Not the grandeur of Cesky Krumlov but you are also spared of the hordes of tourists and stores selling meaningless souvenirs.
Staying in the town whilst buying a property ,been 4times in the last three months, great bars ,restaurants, nice old buildings, lake, very good location to see southern Czechia, train station in town, beautifully countryside good food, wine and beer at good prices.
Jindřichŭv Hradec
All was good! Mainly the staff. I booked double room, but at the end I was alone and I was offered free of charge breakfast for it (as I paid for double). Very kind, it has never happened to me before!!’ Location is perfect, on the main squere and Jindrichuv Hradec as such is amazing. I was very short there , but managed to make Sunday morning walk along the river and it was Top. Next to it, the castle etc... just go there and sleep in this place!!! You will enjoy it
Very high quality hotel decor, with friendly staff who speak enough English (and who made the best of a wifi outage when we arrived!). Location is convenient for the town centre (although can become a little noisy from the sports centre next door, if you leave your windows open at night).
Location, the room was spacious and comfortable, the hotel was so cute and classy. The waiter with tattoos on his neck was super friendly and kind to me; then the waitress, Petra, she was super accommodating. Also, the food was fantastic! I would stay there again!
