This is our second visit to Pension pod Věží. As good as the first. Great location, good rooms etc and friendly helpful staff. The Sushi place on the ground floor is very good and we had a lovely meal in the Penzion's courtyard garden. Highly recommended.

This is not really a tourist town.

This is not really a tourist town. Only staying there because of Czech family nearby. However, it has great railway hub, eg Prague in 40 mins and I can recommend the Spa town of Podebrady. Travel is exceptionally cheap - 75% discount for Seniors and kids so really easy to get around even if you pay full rate and you don't need to be a Czech national nor have a discount card. In my opinion Kolin is punching above it's weight!

In 1966-1967 I was a base at the airport in Časlav. With a certain nostalgia, I visited this region with my two grandchildren. In addition to Kolín, we visited Časlav and of course the beautiful Kutná Hora. Maximum satisfaction.

Good train connection.

Good train connection. Plenty of different restaurants and cafes. Beautiful historic center. Possibility of cycling, rafting on the Elbe in summer. Close to tourist attractions such as Kutná Hora and Poděbrady.

Great location near the center, a beautiful historical city. The monuments are worth it. Just like the building from the 60s... SILO KOLIN.... AND THE WATER STATION. I visited the Vespa pizzeria! The Naivka restaurant and the café in the Pod Věží guesthouse. Unfortunately, public transport in Kolín is terrible! The bus runs once an hour on Sundays, which is not enough. Taxis are only available at the station counter.....

The historic center of the city is very beautiful.

The historic center of the city is very beautiful. The Church of St. Bartholomew by Petr Parléř is one of the most beautiful in Bohemia. The surrounding area and the park are renovated and accessible for walking or sitting. Also interesting are the preserved old houses in the Jewish quarter and the renovated synagogue. In the center there are many restaurants and cafes to choose from.

Satisfaction with the destination and accommodation, I positively evaluate the refrigerator in the room, cleanliness, large wardrobe. I would appreciate more hangers in the wardrobe (only 2 pcs) and there was no place to dry bath towels (2 small hangers in the bathroom)

The location was a few minutes walk from the main square and close to several good restaurants, The bed was very comfortable ,although we were on ground floor facing the street it was very quiet over night .The breakfast was what you would expect from a budget hotel ,cereals yogurt ham cheese etc fresh bread and bacon sausage and scrambled eggs. The staff always gave us a smile and greeting. We will happily stay again when visiting our family. Good value for money.

There was no breakfast, and I saw no other person during my stay so am unable to comment on the staff. Location is very good, near the main square, however I had a bit of a job finding the place. Fortunately I was in Kolin a number of days earlier staying at a different hotel, and had time to check out the location. Probably my fault but eventually a local asked where I was looking for and knew where it was.

A very friendly reception. The receptionist was lovely,and helpful. Breakfast was fine. Scrambled eggs first day, fried eggs second day, no time third day, dashing off for a train. Location is perfect, 10 to 15 minutes from Kolin station. When I arrived it was snowing, adding to the charm of this lovely town. The big church is just at the top of the road where the hotel is situated. The room was fine.

Breakfast was a cooked English style breakfast and was better than expected. The location of the hotel, appproximately 10 minutes walk from the station was great, and equally the distance to the rather nice town centre was about the same. The young and very good English speaking receptionist was very pleasant and helpful.
