I stayed at this hotel for a four night biking trip in the surrounding area. The hotel has a secure room on the ground floor where we were able to store our bicycles. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet included with the room each morning was comprehensive. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is directly on the river, and there are many bike trails around the area. This trip was purely for breakfast, bicycle recreation, and a few evening beers, and through that lens, this hotel is fantastic. This hotel is directly on the Vltavá river, and there are canoe and raft rentals adjacent to the hotel but we did not do that. I am not including the hotel restaurant for optional lunch and dinner in my review of the underlying hotel stay. Outside of the free breakfast buffet, which was fantastic, the restaurant also offers a basic Czech lunch and dinner menu. It was mildly pricey, but not unreasonable relative to anything else in this small town. The restaurant staff was fantastic, which can make any meal better. My wife and I drove about 20 minutes north into Český Krumlov for Asian food one night for a change of menu, but still returned to the hotel brewery for a couple of evening beers. The brewery has range of beers that are very good. I typically do not drink Czech pilsners or lagers, enjoyed the Bilá Paní, and Pale Ale in particular. This brewery has enough styles of beers that you will find something that you like if you drink beer. This was particularly enjoyable after a couple of hours of bike riding in different directions each day.

The hotel staff respond was excellent. They helped us regarding our problem to reach the hotel from train station because of some delays from the train schedule. Besides, we got a very nice room heading to the lake view. It was an excellent service. Hotel facilities, especially for children was also very good. Hotel located in a very cozy place, surrounded by minimarket, dessert shop, winter sport rental, and also ticket counter for some winter activities. The breakfast was delicious. The bus station is also located in the hotel parking area.

A very nice house with a large garden and excellent...

A very nice house with a large garden and excellent amenities. Idyllically situated, about a 5-minute walk from the Lipno Reservoir dam. A natural forest lies directly behind the house. The hostess is very friendly and the key handover was straightforward. All in all, highly recommended.

Loučovice itself is not very nice, but the surroundings are...

Loučovice itself is not very nice, but the surroundings are beautiful - the Šumava landscape, where there is peace and beautiful nature. Excellent for cycling, hiking, mushroom picking, blueberries... There are also picturesque cottages, old houses, wooden buildings to see. Vyšší Brod is nearby, where you can shop, go to a pastry shop, go rafting down the Vltava River - a very nice day trip, for example, for families with children, friends...

The hotel was very comfortable in every way. At night, looking up to see the sky full of stars was truly beautiful. There is a shared kitchen available with all the necessary equipment. The owner was very friendly and provided everything we needed — we’re very grateful to him. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We would love to come back again next time.
