Nachod is a small town with picturesque historical buildings. The landscape not far from the town is beautiful. The town is very quiet, obviously not suitable for young people seeking a vibrant atmosphere.

Náchod is a lower Silesian border town, which boasts an architectural gem apart from the Renaissance castle: the coffeehouse/restaurant/ town theatre from 1914. Completely original in late Jugendstil with exquisitely designed lamps. Náchod is close to Ceská Skalice with the Bozena Nemcova museum and the beautiful valley where this famous writer lived and which scenery is described in her famous Czech novel. Also the north-east area of Hronov is splendid. Náchod is the home of the Primator beer brewery which is known for its wide array of lager beers, some of them having a very high alcohol percentage. But the taste is really special.

I visited during August and don't know if that was the problem, the place might be amazing and full of life during winter, but during summer everything was closed around 22:00. No night life, no people, pretty deserted. But hey, if you want your peace and just chill the place is perfect.GeorgeGreece

The lady tried to figure out some way to do that, but I decided to go to Náchod earlier to not complicate it for them. We had everything from washing machine to toaster, but in our one night stay there, we didn't use anything except the kettle. It is located very close to Nachod, very close to Polish border, and a lot of great hiking areas. The owners are really nice, they did accommodate our food-related request and served the breakfast directly to the room. Boy, you’ll want to miss your lunch after such a huge and varied breakfast!
