Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was so nice. Great breakfast, and the restaurant served high quality meat. Beautiful patio with lake and forest view for meals, really enjoyed that. Served rum with breakfast without complaint. Room was basic but clean and quiet. Beds OK. Lots of closet space which was nice. Bathroom modern and nice, no leaks or mold or other issues. Hot water perfect. Location excellent, just a 20-minute walk along a shady lake path to the campground and event. Really nice! Cab service in the evenings also available, or take a flashlight with you for the evening walk through the forest.

An absolutely perfect, luxurious "first class 5-star" stay (with one fixable exception, below). We loved it! Fabulous hosts that met us at the door and showed us everything we needed, and then left us to have fun. They were never intrusive (they live nearby), yet always available by phone or in person if needed. The place was immaculately clean and stayed that way during our entire long trip. Incredible garden, something out of a magazine! Everything there: pool, barbecue, chill-out zone, picnic tables inside and out under a beautiful sun/rain shelter, fire pit, beach chairs, etc. Clean, comfortable and private. Can't overemphasize how beautiful this location was, even in hot weather. Pool was spectacularly clean, perfect temperature, saltwater (less chlorine needed, more natural buoyancy), with a spectacular view of the lake and forest surroundings. We swam every day. Really, the highlight of our trip! Room was super clean and had everything we needed: Beautiful shower with "rain shower" attachment as well as standard hose nozzle. Toilet comfortable and functioned perfectly. Hot water a small wait, but no problems. Beds were very clean and comfortable enough, if a bit small. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need, with a semi-full sized fridge with working freezer, a great bonus for us for putting ice cream bars! Fridge came with a few beers and water already chilled and ready to go! Yay! Kitchen table, chairs, couch etc. with a nice window to the garden too. Location was immaculate: Directly across from the castle entrance. 2 minute walk to shops and restaurants, ATM and bus stop. 5-minute walk to beautiful outdoor "cabana" bar with music, cocktails and beach chairs. 10 minute walk to camp, lake, and festival grounds. Hard to overemphasize just how much we enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming here again!

The room was spacious and well equipped. There is quite fast internet (Wi-Fi) available. We have arrived late and used self-service check-in, which is convenient and with user friendly interface. There was a good selection of breakfast sets - everyone can find something suitable.

A very kind and welcoming host. Late check-in was possible. The apartment is modern, spacious (like a little labyrinth), and very clean. Free parking is available. There is both a washing machine and a dryer. Personally, I even enjoyed the view from the balcony.

It is a very beautifully renovated building with a great garden/courtyard and swimming pool, tables outside, a cinema hall in the attic. Plumlov is an excellent village for visiting the local very interesting castle (with a cafe in the castle courtyard), the lake under the castle. Certainly an excellent base for exploring the surroundings.

Beautiful dam, cycling trails, hiking and fishing.

Beautiful dam, cycling trails, hiking and fishing. Camping near the castle. Good restaurants in the Zlechov and Plumlov hotels. Excellent little café in Plumlov castle. Nearby are Plumlov castle, Čechy pod Kosířem castle and museums, Náměšť na Hané castle and a short distance to Prostějov.

The problem (but only a current one) was the abandoned dam.

The problem (but only a current one) was the abandoned dam. However, there are plenty of other tourist destinations in the area. The Carriage Museum in Čechách pod Kosířem and the Stražisko swimming pool are definitely worth a visit. We can also recommend a special tour of the unfinished areas of Plumlov Castle.
