The rooms were neat, clean, well-equipped. They clean and change towels every day. You also get a free bottle of water (every day), tea, coffee. Breakfast is plentiful and varied. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. You can rent an umbrella at the hotel for 3 euros for 48 hours. Tram station is few minutes away. It took us a maximum of 15 minutes to get to the city center. The nearest metro station is under renovation, and the next one is a little over 10 minutes walk away. Underground garage with large parking spaces.

The apartment is modern, with everything you need. Location is great, in the middle of everything. Prague is relatively small, so we walked to everywhere. The reception woman (a redhaired which name unfortunately I don't recall) was great, taking her time to show us the best places to go in Prague. Surely we'll come again if visiting Prague.

FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully, the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale facade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city center after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

This is our fourth trip to Prague is one of Europe’s most...

This is our fourth trip to Prague is one of Europe’s most rewarding cities to visit, combining layered history, striking architecture, and an easy, walkable scale. The compact Old Town, Charles Bridge, and Prague Castle create a continuous historic landscape where Gothic towers, Baroque churches, and Art Nouveau façades feel seamlessly connected. Beyond the famous skyline, each neighborhood—Malá Strana, Hradčany, Vinohrady, Holešovice—offers its own character, from aristocratic palaces and quiet gardens to galleries, cafés, and local pubs. Food alone justifies the trip: hearty Czech classics, excellent beer culture, and a growing scene of modern bistros and fine dining. Culturally, the city is dense with concerts, museums, and literary cafés yet remains more affordable than many Western European capitals. A great historic city that is welcoming and easy to walk everywhere and one of the BESt for photography.

I thought Prague was absolutely beautiful but remember to look up at the buildings because they are stunning bear in mind the cost of a cheza crown compared to your own currency. I live in Andalusia in Spain so for me progress was very expensive back home I get coffee for 1:20 euroand a bottle of water for the equivalent of 1:30 euros. Avoid eating in the restaurants designed for tourism a lot of the shopping malls will have food courts upstairs which are very reasonable. Master and download the app for the trams buses and underground metro. If your accommodation includes a breakfast fill up on that and remember everywhere that you go unless it's your own hotel or the airport they will be paid for toilets usually about 20 crowns. Even restaurants like McDonald's and KFC will be charging you to use their services

We took the small bus tour starting on the corner of the square near the clock tower. This really helped to map out the city for later walking. The commentary was excellent and the visit to the Castle had a 30 minute break to look down on the city. There is so much history and the food was great wherever we visited. We left the before the Christmas Market started but would love to see it fully set up. The main sites are easily walkable and helps to set out development of this great city.

Well.

Well. Like all great places that have a "renommée", be prepared for large crowds at places you will want to see. And tourists aren't the best kind of people. Other than that, Praha is beautiful, lots of things to do and see, just don't drive, use the superb (and cheap) public transport system. You won't be able to park anyway.

We have been to Prague several times before and this year...

We have been to Prague several times before and this year only spent a full day in Prague on our way to a city further east. St Nicholas weekend was predictably crowded with locals as well as tourists. The Cathedral area was heaving with people as were the steps down to the city. Charles Bridge was a solid mass of people with minimal chance to stop and look at the statues, The big Christmas market in Old Town Square was too full of people to get a good look but seemed to be mainly food and drink. The nearby Christmas market on Havelska was more to our liking as it had seats. (we are both aged over 75). Similarly, the smaller Christmas market by Andel metro station gave us a chance to watch "chimney cakes" being made while drinking mulled wine. We like Prague and will happily stop here again if we are passing through on our way to somewhere else but will try to find a less crowded time of year to be here..

Hotel reception was very attentive - best service we had in years, if you needed something it was attended to very promptly and confirmed as well. Breakfast was to die for, not the usual continental selection but properly cooked meal and more of a very good quality restaurant food so absolutely worth it. Location is superb - a bit off the center but 5 mins walk to Old Town Square and close to everything really. In short - brilliant!

Perfect in all ways, Location was next to the Old Town Square in a beautiful courtyard, the room and bathroom was very clean, comfortable and very stylish. Breakfast was also excellent with a very wide range of food available. The service in the hotel from checking right through to leaving was first rate.
