    Ústí have a really negative reputation amongst the Czech...

    Ústí have a really negative reputation amongst the Czech cities. But its not all bad. Interesting architecture, where few ancient buildings like churches and similar, exists among the remembrances of the comunist and post-comunist Brutalism. You should check Castle, Masaryk ship Locks, Větruše and old Church bombarded in WW2. If you like coffee visit C´UP coffee.

    I was there for business (I go about once a year).

    I was there for business (I go about once a year). I did have a surprisingly good meal after which I went bowling with colleges (same establishment, about 2m km from hotel). However, I do not think I'd pick Usti as a destination for a holiday.

    A beautiful city with wonderful views. a place where you can eat tasty Czech food and drink delicious beer. There is a nice zoo in the town and many tourist attractions nearby. Laba proves that the Czech Republic is not only Prague. In restaurants, usually when you want to eat a knuckle(Golonka), you have to order at least a day in advance.
